I planned to buy this since I never got a PS4 and missed out on Bloodborne/Persona 5 Royale/GoT. But now with all these announcements for Sega and Sony, should I even buy this or just work on my pc.
Is it even worth buying this now
I think theyre only gonna put ps4 games on pc and not ps5 ones
No Bugsnax on PC. Why even live.
>spider-man dlc
>ps3 remake
>fucking bugsnax
No gayms, no buy. At least not in my opinion
I'd say save up to upgrade your rig, but I'm also biased since I don't like Sony for censoring certain Japanese games.
Just wait
Till the shit is even
R E L E A S E D
before you make retarded statements
It's not even worth upgrading your pc, can't think of one game that's been announced that looks remotely interesting. Everything looks shit and like it's been done a 1000 times already.
I'm thinking this too
Yeah u rite. Time to have patience.
starting to wonder the same thing. I went back to console to get away from the rampant cheating on pc. Now the ps5 is looking redundant and with more games like warzone being multi plat its fucking pointless to get a console when you can just wait and pirate for free.
Triple A gaming is a dumpster fire. Only consider getting it if the game has a library of A/AA games you want to play and those titles aren't multiplatform (aka on SeriesX or Steam). If they are, don't bother.
They hyped that SSD to kingdom fucking come, but every single "gameplay" trailer they've put out has animation sequences that last half a dozen seconds and anyone with two fucking brain cells can rub them together and point out that it's a loading screen. So it's defining feature, thus far, has not been particularly endearing.
The ONLY game that even remotely looks like it actually squeezes the PS5's spec is Horizon: Forbidden West, but I buying a 399-599 range console for ONE game that pushes this boundary isn't good enough. Just buy a PC. There's a fuckhueg backlog of interesting games that you can play on that while the console accrues titles over the years worth a damn. It's a question to ask for 2023-2024, not 2020 or even 2021.
This user speaks the truth. Just not worth it to lay down that much money on release for this thing.
>I think
Being the keywords there, if you told me back in 2012 that "PS4 games are gonna be on PC and released BY Sony too." I'd have laughed.
Think of how fucking dumb you sound if you think this break of tradition only effects the PS4.
Oh you sweet summer child, move to PC.
There's a 99% chance Sony is going to be very stingy when it comes to which games get ported to PC and how long it will take to bring them over. The idea is to get the max amount of sales on console, then get more profit on the backend from PC users when console version sales die off. I'd probably still get a ps5 if you care about Sony exclusives.
The safe bet is to either get one and sell it for a massive profit for the Christmas rush or just wait. It's 10000% not worth getting at launch. There are no system sellers yet and PS4 backwards compat wont be perfect at first per Sonys words on it. The retards that need to have new things day one will ensure it's supported and will be around when games you really want to play come along.
All I heard there is "Coming to PC eventually." I can wait. No need to buy the console now.
Just wait. If they release Demon's Remake on PC i'm not buying one, like never, I bought my PS4 just for Bloodborne and Vanillaware shitand don't care about other sony movies.
>Paid 499 for one (1) game
You're the WORST kind of consolefag.
Wait for the PS5 Pro, don't waste your money on the launch version. Same goes for the Xbox.
Sure but just know there's no guarantee that exclusives are going to come to PC in a timely fashion(if at all.) I think people are interpreting this one sentence in a financial report as Sony is switching to a Microsoft style approach, that couldn't be further from the truth. In the same report, they literally talk about building the brand with exclusives.
Considering Playstation is one of the few if not the only division in Sony that gives them money, going PC too is a no brainer. Is literally free money.
Don't listen to this tard. You can trade in your console and cover most of the cost if a pro edition comes out.
Also consider this fact. The RTX 3090 is a 1400 dollar GPU in 2020. By 2023, we'll be at the RTX 6090, and the 3090 is going to become a ~2-300 dollar GPU on the market. A GPU that will be able to do 4K60 with maxed graphics and max RT. Meanwhile, the PS5 is going to JUGGLE some RT with everything else it has to do. It will be compromising instead of doing BOTH.
Hell, by 2023, we'll have ~400 dollar GPUs that will eat the SeriesX for lunch and have hunger left over to go after the PS5. There's no real reason to get a PS5 unless there's a very specific title you are looking for and are hopeful Sony and XYZ studio will make a sequel to or revive it on said platform. The PS5 in 2023 will struggle to do 4K60 with RT, instead focusing on 4K30, whilst PC will be doing 4K144 with maxed graphics and RT, for the same price as the console.
4K144 means 6K60 or 8K30, and this gap is going to get wider and wider and wider on PC vs consoles. By 2025, GPUs will have reached a point where they'll be at 8K60 with RT. 2x the resolution of what the PS5 can output, 2x the framerate, and full RT. Sure, the price of GPUs then will be still equal to or greater than the PS5. But consider that with the RTX 3xxx series, Nvidia wants to bring DLSS 3.0 to the market which makes the tech agnostic to ANY title. Come 2023, we'll be on DLSS 4.0 or 5.0.
DLSS 2.0 and 3.0 is limited to 540p as the source frame for ML/AI output to "4K". As GPUs get more and more powerful, the base frame for reconstruction will increase. 540 > 720 > 900 > 1080. The larger the native frame, the more detailed the reconstructed frame will be. There will come a time in the next 3-4 years that mid range GPUs will be able to reconstruct frames into a final 4K or higher resolution image of a multiplatform title at under PS5 console prices, while putting out a higher framerate and with better RT features than what is present on console.
I don't see a good reason to buy one; sincerely.
I bet with the recent press release Demons Souls remake will come to PC in like 2024 or 2025. Just you wait.
No, lmao. Why would you buy this now? For a dlc and a PS3 game? Also none of the games shown are multiplayer so theres no rush to buy them. Wait for black Friday in 1 or 2 years then get everything half price. You have to be some sort of next level brainlets to buy a $700 console at release.
Obviously games are coming to PC. No one is debating that. My skepticism revolves around which games will come to PC and when. They said they have no intention of doing day and date or bringing every single game to PC.
I read it as going forward we are porting to pc as well so ps5 games will be developed with pc in mind. Sega shit like p5 and atlus games have been super easy to emulate so idgaf.
this
So much for power of ssd
>Pissing off all their loyal ponies for Pc $$$.
Yeah that totally couldn’t backfire on them
Just wait and see how the consoles perform. I have a feeling that this thing is going to get extremely hot.
I assume its gonna be a 2 or 3 year PS4/5/whatever of console exclusive and then PC release. Maybe less time but who knows. I can wait anyways.
But my load times Nooooooooo!
I dont know why but i just dont like pc gaming, anyone else feel this way?
>399-599
It’s gonna be more than that. I’m expecting $600 for the low end
I'm going to be honest with you I am in the same situation. I have a PC but I'm only planning to upgrade to a 3070 TI for Cyberpunk and to get more frames in 7 days to die but at the same time I own a PS4 for exclusives. Sony has not made it clear what their strategy is for PC gaming so I don't know if I should waste my money on a PS5 for exclusives only for it to come to PC later or just wait.
If you just want to experience those games then buy a used PS4; no need to fork out $500 for a brand new console just to play old ass games
This, the world is fucked and everything sucks now. EVERYTHING.
I see no reason not to buy it if you have a living room with a 4K TV
Nice tumblr gif bro, pc gaming is so souless and so much hassle
Chad PC/xbox >virgin snoy
>DOOOD i'm a fucking retard but it's pc's fault lmao
How is it a hassle? Are you literally retarded?
I'll buy whichever platform gets the next FF and/or Monster Hunter game first.
>so much hassle
That's why consoles exists. For dumb fucks like you that don't know how to build one rig.
Mental illness
pc is for poorfags. i will be playing my ps5 on my 4k hdr tv at 120fps not on a laptop. and no one has desktops in 2020
