Hello Zig Forums, I’m an employee for Epic Games and I work on the game Fortnite. I’m sure you’ve all heard of it. Love it or hate it, I’m here to tell you some exclusive shit on it. Not gonna say who I am or where exactly in the development team I work, because I value occupational privacy.
And what better place to spill the beans than on Zig Forums. Probably the best way to do it with the fullest anonymity.
I’m not going to be leaking any upcoming events, skins, or stuff like that, as I do not want to spoil the exciting stuff that the game has planned, so instead I’ll be telling you guys about stuff that could’ve been. Stuff that was going to be in the game but got scrapped, replaced or changed. This happens all the time and sometimes stuff gets changed the day before release.
I guess the best place to start is in season 5. The first crossover for the game was actually supposed to happen during season 5 but unfortunately stuff happened and it just never sufficed. I’m not gonna say what the crossover was as there’s always still a chance it could happen. Hey, it’s Fortnite.
The Luxe skin was actually planned to be an item shop skin but due to shifts in management there wasn’t time to finish a proper tier 100 skin and so Luxe was given some styles, and used as the tier 100 skin. As far as I’m aware, the tier 100 skin that was going to be used for season 8 was Vendetta but he ended up becoming the season 9 tier 100 skin.
There were talks a few seasons ago about finding a way to re release battle pass skins.
Also might be funny to note that one of the emotes in the game was actually first named “Master Baiter” when we were first working on it, but the name was eventually changed for obvious reasons. Can you guess which emote it was?
I got a lot more shit to say and stuff to tell you guys but Zig Forums only allows 2000 character posts for whatever fucking reason. So look out, because I’ll be making more posts like this in the future.
