Bloatware etc? Been out of the loop for some time.PC I built and using now is about 13 years old. Playing mostly old games with it.Now looking to get a new rig, but feeling too lazy to build a new one.
How is pic related? Or is building your own still the only way to go?
only get it if >its within ~20% of the price of the parts by themselves >has a decent psu >you plan on formatting the drive and installing your own OS
Hunter Rogers
Just build another. I was too lazy too but it's too much of a pain to look for a good prebuilt than it is to just build one
Ryder Price
Hmmm
Justin Jones
Do you mean installing Linux?
Jordan Hughes
not even that, LTSC is so superior to the "common" windows that its not even funny ask if you don't know how to download or activate it linux's still better though
Jack Kelly
If you ever plan on buying a prebuilt, make sure they specify the exact model of all parts. They'll lure you in with a good cpu/gpu and then jew you out on the mobo, power supply and ram.
Juan Martinez
>that image If you are gonna buy new in current year, at least wait for new gpus and consoles to be released. >inb4 waitfag Its a few months away and the market will be flooded with new shit along with holiday discounts. Then try to buy an 8 core cpu and at least 2070 or 5700xt or equivalent.
Yeah, I'm looking on new egg. They're good about breaking it all down on what's under the hood
Aaron Morris
That would be pretty decent value at least in my country. If you can wait until black friday, cyber monday deals you might get even better deals for building one yourself.
Levi Green
Is IBUYPOWER any good?
Lucas Morris
Who makes prebuilts with good mobos? Thats the most important factor for me.
Alexander Perry
From what I've heard they are hilariously bad, don't have first hand experience though
Blake Davis
If you want to pay like 30-40% extra just for them to assemble pieces for you yah
Josiah Jenkins
Pretty much all of the ones that don't charge a ridiculous mark-up will use budget mobos and psu's to make their money back. That's not inherently a bad thing, it's not like they some off-brand chink components, it's just that you won't have much room for upgrades in the future.
Ayden Torres
I don't know, but I bought a prebuilt that only had the basics, I only bought the gpu, changed the power supply, I put more ram and changed the case
Cooper Davis
Yeah I don't think cheap mobos are a problem for most people who buy prebuilt. You aren't likely to use the extra space or fancy features.
Xavier Johnson
So pointless. It takes like 20 minutes to get all the good pc parts into cart and like 1-2 hours to build them all together and install your fresh OS. And with this you are guaranteed that nothing is fuckd up. Unless you're a lazy ass boomer just build one.
Zachary Ortiz
No prebuilts are not shit anymore. Yes they do cost more unless you wait for sales. Always buy from a place you can pick the parts out.
John Scott
That price for the parts is actually resonable but it's probably packed of garbage cheap parts and sold to you at an overprice so you are spending 1000 for what is actually a 700. Built it yourself
Lincoln Moore
You do monthly payments on prebuilts alot of the time. Not every has the cash upfront.
Jaxon Wilson
no but you will still be overpaying somewhat. roughly 10-30% more on a prebuilt. prebuilts are only worth it if they do a good job with wiring because that shit is annoying to make look nice
Juan Hill
It is for me, I want to change parts out but not if the mobo is shit to begin with.
Aaron James
10% yes but 30% is lying.
Jace Hall
What pre-built pc would you recommend for someone who has a certain disability? (They can't seem to choose or learn the specs of computer in community)
Ryder Anderson
Only ever buy prebuilt if you can select every part and get the shop to build it for you. Don't get default builds like dell inspirons or alienware shit. They are never worth it. I learned the hard way that they have no real upgrade paths.
You will want to pick your case, your PSU, your mobo, basically everything. It's much easier to upgrade these kinds of PCs and you can learn as you go.
its possible. i bought from IBP back in 2006 when I didn't know shit about computers. I still have the invoice and I checked the retail prices of the parts and it was close to 30%. might not be anywhere near as bad nowadays.
Cooper Johnson
I use an IBUYPOWER... I'd have to say it's been a good experience, I haven't really had any issues.
Isaac Perez
This is 100% true.
Juan Murphy
>They can't seem to choose or learn the specs of computer in community
Are you retarded?
Gabriel Edwards
My brother just got the NZXT 'streaming PC'. Pretty damn good, with some minor issues ( the CPU has been running hot as fuck this summer *only has two fans in the case + the AMD one, XMP was not turned on, the CAM software is broken shit, and one of the two RGB strips came broken ).
Ethan Barnes
Dude things havw change alot. I got my PC on IBP. it came out to same, if I build the PC. It was on sale.
Jose Miller
Gaming laptops are actually starting to get good, if you can throw a bit extra on top when buying a school/work laptop it's not a terrible idea.
Angel Clark
RGB strips just waste PSU wattage. You should remove them the first change you get.
Aiden Robinson
Desktop replacement laptops are usually terrible for actually carrying around. They are too bulky.
Dominic James
Yeah, I took pulled that garbage out of his case and told him not to worry about it. He still has the Wraith Prism light to satisfy his Zoomer appetite for pretty bright glowing colors. The NZXT case looks nice and clean too, and the cable management is superb.
Lincoln Green
If you are considering to purchase a prebuilt, better get yourself a console.
Nathan Johnson
I bought one six years ago and the psu failed within a month
Getting rid of one of those is significantly easier
Jace Ward
I think they are fine for people new to PC as a gaming platform, as long as they plan on opening it up themselves to tinker/become familiar with how everything fits together.
Nicholas Watson
Giving the kid up for adoption is much easier than parting with your bing bing wahoo typing machine.
Luis Murphy
Well..yes. But remember that other people are like me who can't understand.
