The SAVIOR is coming back once again, to rule over all VN for a 3rd decade
Subahibi/Tsui no Sora

Tsui no Sora is just Subahibi with like half the content right? I'll always enjoy reading Takuji's madness though
Yes, but Subahibi changed a lot of thing, also different MC/MC friend and secondary characters
It's my own invention is a retelling of Tsui no Sora but from the perspective of Takuji himself, but even then the themes are completely different and the way events flow and develop is something else entirely as well
Subahibi is more of a sequel to Tsui no Sora, and you need to play both to get the full artistic picture even if each work is stand alone
This remake is never getting translated though, and the same goes for both Sakura no Uta and Sakura no Toki
never say never. Subahibi got translated and it's a fairly popular VN. It's predecessor should get enough attention.
>and the same goes for both Sakura no Uta...
Sca-ji has actually expressed interest in Sakura no Uta getting an English version on his twitter recently in a tweet in English so that one actually has a chance now. I'll try to look for it to post if this thread stays up for a while.
What the fuck? Why are they remaking Tsui no Sora?
Alright, explain how they're both halves to a complete picture. All I know is Tsui no Sora takes inspiration from Nietzche instead of Wittgenstein. I know that the Fight Club twist is still in Tsui no Sora, but I'm curious as to the context of how it plays out since the characters are different, like with Yuki's analogue being male, Tomosane and the sister seemingly not being characters in Tsui no Sora, the twins being one character.
Also, did the bonus chapter they included in the HD re-release ever get translated? Is that even canon/have any symbolic significance to the overall plot, even subtextually?
The best thing about Subahibi was Takuji so this better be good
Also, why is this Subahibi background character important in Tsui no Sora?
bump
But Jabberwocky was the best chapter.
Not him but having played Sakura no Uta I'm willing to say it's just too complicated of a translation for the usual shmuck, especially considering even SubaHibi's was prone to errors (small and inconsequential, but nonetheless present).
The titular verse of the cherry blossoms is Miyazawa Kenji's Haru to Shura, which to English speakers is a relatively obscure collection of poems, but to Japan happens to be part of their literary canon. You also only have two versions of it available in English: one translation by Gary Snyder, which while in style is definitely apt (though he does overwhelm the original aesthetic of the poem with his own), his translation is too liberal and misses key meaning in a few lines; and a more easily available one by Hiroaki Sato, which is too literal to do the original justice. And if it were just referenced eponymously then that's not big deal, right? But it's present constantly in the novel's prose and imagery, and all new verses inspired in the original work are spread throughout the narrative in key moments, mostly to drive the points of each section or culminate a short story appropriately. A lot of the novel, while contrastingly having references and drawing inspiration from Western canon (both literature and art), is expressly Japanese to a fault. It's the type of art that doesn't translate well at all and demands competency beyond the budget of an eroge translation, so while I know /ourguy/ is probably strapped for cash to finish Sakura no Toki with, it's a statistical improbability (even when I really wish more people had the chance to play through it, it's message is one that would really help out all anons meandering throughout the hells of their own making), though I'd never lose hope either way.
what was her problem?
bro this is so fucking weird seeing takuji, ayana and zakuro not look like they did in subahibi in this updated artstyle
I enjoyed it but it's basically just Fight Club and a crash course on philosophy.
I never finished it, was interesting but not interesting enough for me to finish. Did I missed much? Stopped playing after Jabberwocky
probably that sixhead she has going on
why did you drop it?
we are like the dreamer that dreams and then lives inside the dream
Nah I enjoy bizzare lesbian adventure of Yuki
Who the fuck was she.
I only remember it for the forced bestiality scene. Never got past the intro and the insufferable writing style.
>force
???
That pic didn't look like it had a willing participant.
Any new update ?
Name a better scene than pic related
(except for the bunni rape of course)
The version I played didn't have anything like that. Dare I ask what this scene involved? Zakuro wasn't in it was she? She's suffered enough.
I don't know, since i dropped it in the prologue but i downloaded the uncensored version from nyaa and the only difference is that this scene exist.
Why'd he want to though? I thought SubaHibi bombed?
Where's the Drive guy?
Where's Hitler?
I hate incels
Actual autism
Okay but where does that hentai ova tie into this
>When you realized what the yuri end instead of the "true" end actually meant and seeing Zakuro off
