OK. I just done beating Bowser, possessed him and escaped the moon in SMO. THIS IS THE BEST FUCKING MARIO GAME EVER CREATED. FUCK YOU IF YOU DISAGREE.

HA HA HELL NO. I thought Mario Galaxy 2 was the pinnacle of Mario. Not any more.
You should get the artbook if you liked the game that much. There's so much in it that I'd love to see in a possible sequel, and it's a very rare level of insight into the production of a Mario game.
The bosses are the worst part
Great game still
I'm going to. LOL. I managed to keep spoiler free for this game and I'm glad. HOLY SHIT. I'm still Dazzled. When Mario jumped on the ship, kicked away Bowser and threw the hat I lost it.
I knew there was something special about it from the first trailer, and it was everything I wanted, for the most part. My only complaint is that the rest of the worlds should have been structured a bit more like New Donk City and felt more livable and organic.
Did you get off the court?
Speedrunning this is a bliss
>The bosses are the worst part
Eh? The boss fights are fucking great. Unlike lesser shit video game boss fights I was always completely aware of what was going on, what my goal was and I always felt in control.
It's no masterpiece.
zoomie levels at maximum
Sequel when?
Nintendo was never going to go "Breath of the Wild 2" and "Odyssey 2," and we know which one they chose.
Why are you talking like you're on Reddit
It was a good game, but saying it's the best is kinda hyperbolic. Very very few people have absolutely no problem with the game. It oozes of the casualization that modern Nintendo goes overboard in. I still had fun with it, but I've easily had more fun with other Mario games.
You're still in the glow of the ending, it'll wear off.
It has the best movement system in any Mario game, but they didn't really make any interesting platforming to actually use with it.
>only new donk moon is jump rope genius
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The ending segment suddenly bursting into Minecraft Pop took me out of it.
Minecraft Pop? Google only points to Funkos.
>only new donk moon left*
The kind of music you'd expect Minecraft playing preteen kids to be singing on youtube.
Oh, yeah, it was like something at the end of a Disney Channel Original Movie, but Jump Up Superstar makes up for it.
I disagree. I don't play a ton of Nintendo games, but where I can see the objective "casualization" of a franchise like Pokemon, I think SMO (and most modern Mario games) strike a nice balance where the first playthrough is "casual" because all the challenging stuff is optional and/or postgame, and the real difficulty is the 100% completion part of the game. Lately it seems like Mario games have about 40% of their content locked behind post-game stuff and/or put in optional places.
I don't know that I would hold it against Odyssey that rolling the credits for the first time doesn't involve completing Dark Side's boss gauntlet or challenge rooms.
This belongs in the sequel. Bust it out during the climax.

HOLY SHIT
It's not that hard. If it is, drive a scooter in there. The scooter doesn't have a variable jump height (where Mario can jump higher if you hold the button higher, and at high speeds starts double-jumping which makes it even harder to control the rhythm if you don't feather-tap the button) so it's easier to keep a consistent jump.
Come bitch at me when it's the Volleyball one.
I actually found that by accident the first time asking Amazon Music to play me Jump Up Super Star. So that may be a part of it.
I can't play it knowing Mario gets cucked at the end
No he doesn't.

Calm down sonny, you're still high off the hype from the game's climax.
With that said, yeah it's a pretty good game.
Happy you enjoyed it, user.
You can tell New Donk City was the earliest level they prototyped.
