Yikes. I've had these really shitty LG headphones a while ago and refunded them after a day of messing around. Not only did they sound like absolute shit, but the noise cancelling made me go insane. I couldn't hear my own talking, couldn't hear my keyboard, couldn't hear anything.

Well yeah that's the point of noise cancelling headphones you have to go high end if you want decent quality and even then getting non noise cancelling headphones is best for overall sound quality i might be wrong though

For me, it's a Shure SM7b microphone hooked up to a Cloudlifter and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo, with DT 770 250 Ohm Headphones.

I have the Cloud Flight and it's pretty good, I'm not an audiophile so I can't speak about audio quality. The mic quality could be better though, I will probably get a pair of wireless headphones and a proper mic next.

Turtle Beach makes some pretty good headsets

Hyper X cloud stinger is as good a headset as you could need. Great build quality and price too. Very comfortable. Easily worn 8+ hours at a time even with glasses

Does this work with consoles or is this strictly a PC solution?

I'm pretty sure they do you may need to get an amp or sac depending on the impedance of the headphones you decide to get I use the DT 990 250 Ohm headphones which are class for the price. These are really good too the difference being the 770 being closed and the 990 being open 700 also having more base while the 900 has a lot of trebble.These headphones are definitely worth getting

Get the Cooler Master MH751 (or the MH752 if you use onboard audio). Really.

It's a modified Takstar Pro 82, which is a pretty great studio headphone. For reference, the HyperX Cloud is a Takstar Pro 80, so the MH751 is even better.

The wireless dongle works out of the box with Windows, so it's my go-to. Comfortable, sounds good, and the battery lasts long. Got it on sale last summer for 50% off. Microphone's surprisingly good too, but I don't talk as much as I used to.

Decent standalone microphone and desk arm
I've had the arm for 3 years and the mic for 4 years and it still works perfectly. AT 2020 and some cheap mic arm that works good enough to allow basic positioning.

I'm currently using these, after 3 years of use the faux leather rot is starting in the diadem. Just annoying, but overall pretty solid for a headset if you don't want to mess with a separate microphone.
