if you've played one MH you've played them all. Shit is more monotonous and repetitive than pokemon at this point.

>Rumour

Also worth noting that the insider says it's both a new MH game AND Stories 2.

No, I’m waiting for World 2

If they bring back the cute and funny moments like this, aka. the SOUL, I'm all in. It was utterly lacking from World.

I would if I had a switch. I've been itching for some MH but I've already done everything in 4U and XX.

I'm sure this game will be more of a World 2 then the 6th generation game since it will pretty much be the portable version of World as they do for every mainline game.

Not yet, I'll probably wait for the G-rank version like always
I don't want to burn out playing the base game and then not have it in me anymore to play the extra content when it's out

capcom has specifically said that this game is intended for younger audiences, so i don't think it'll be a rehash of world or the usual portable game. i'm guessing it will be the monster hunter equivalent of edf world brothers.

Only if there's a PC release and it's not a simplified or spinoff game like Stories.

>Capcom does absolutely jack shit for the Switch for the last 3 years
>Yep they're totally making a Switch exclusive MH game.

Why not? There's still an active MH audience on the switch mostly chinks though and they can still milk mtx out of IB players. All while still working on whatever world's replacement is.

If it's good, probably.

You do realize it took them 4 years to get a next gen only game on PS4/X1, right? Prior to that everything was cross gen or legacy content with the exception of SFV and DR3 both of which were rushed out and funded by Sony and MS respectively. Capcom is just fucking slow.

No point in wasting time and effort on a MH for the Switch at this point.
Better to just work on MH World 2 for PC, Xbox and PS5.

They've had two MH teams for years my dude.

Fuck off pedophile
Catgirls from GenU can fuck off
Keep your Frontier shit away

The main team is working on World 2 while the GU team is working on Iceborne.

same with souls, gta,dq, basically any games

And the second team worked on iceborne and its updates. Main team never makes portable games.
Why nobody knows this? Iceborne was made by the portable team

>Main team never makes portable games.
the team that made MHW is the one that made MH4U, so you're wrong about that one

Did Tokuda ever direct a portable game? Im pretty sure main team is working on next gen/cross gen MH.

Why go back exclusive for Switch for 2021? Wouldn't they just make more money by releasing it on Switch AND other platforms? Why divide the fanbase even more?

>game in a series is similar to other games in the same series
Where did you get your PhD?

Imagine feeling threatened by a portable MH game.

Attached: 1424449330707.png (358x359, 15.47K)

Who is threatened? It just makes no sense at all to go back to rehashing the old assets again for a Switch exclusive MH. Pointless.

>why have two lines of products to milk customers and die hards that will buy both?

there's no way they could top gu
and don't bother replying autistic anti-frontierfags nobody cares, monster hunter was always anime

Hope they add some cool new monsters.

Gen/Gu offered almost nothing after 4U. Everything is just rehash. Im surprised people think world is handholding when styles and arts are a thing

Depends, if it's like other MH games probably, if it's anything like World I'll wait for emulation.
I'm utterly disappointed in the franchise righta bout now.

Still is.

because its a completely logical decision from a business outlook
they have the money and the man power(multiple teams), and the switch is a hot seller at the moment and is basically an untapped territory for them, GU was just a glorified 4U, so getting atleast one complete MH game on their is just the correct move
there is nothing to loose, they have their multiplat line and they can have their handheld line, both bring in cash
the only ones who actually think about console wars and exclusives are people who barely play the games in the first place

>anything like World
World us more faithful to the franchise than Gen/GU ever were.
The insider says the game will run with a compatible version of RE engine on switch. Which sounds like bullshit, but maybe they can reuse world assets?

what can it even be?
something else in the 3ds style?
MH XXX?

>euse world assets
I doubt it. The triangle count wouldn't work and downgrading meshes and such is time consuming and expensive.
You have to remember that MHW didn't even perform well on consoles.

I mean GU is deliberately "rehash" though. It's a swansong for the traditional MH games as a series, not a true next entry or something.

>because its a completely logical decision from a business outlook
Only from the standpoint of someone that knows nothing about game development, let alone marketing. Especially when the new consoles are right around the corner.

This just comes across as ignorant wishful thinking. The last switch title was effectively a greatest hits. Meaning if they made a new switch games they would have to add more content, assets and such to make it worthwhile. Which frankly wouldn't be worth it at this point.

Its almost treated as mainline. I really don't dig styles and arts. And all the monsters that came back brought nothing new. It was kinda lazy to me. It's my less played MH game, was kind of a disappointment

World on my base PS4 almost never goes below 30 fps. Only in the ancient forest sometimes it has drops but nothing noticeable. In arena quests and in the hub it even goes beyond 30. Ive seen WAY worse
