This, holy shit, and when you are at it: specific colors for specific damage types, I sure do love to get fire damage in a blue zone.

don't they just keep buffing them? the main problem is that surviving damage is next to impossible if you're not constantly moving and out of range of the enemy, which would be nice if they changed for everyone not just melee. even if youre ranged, you need to be a ranged that doesn't need to be still for more than .5 seconds at a time

Also, on death voidzones are dumb as fuck and aren't even that dangerous, just annoying. It just makes you stand around waiting for it to disappear after you're done killing something.

I love trickster/anything shaman related, but good god, its always the same constellations endgame or you are fucked.

works fine for skills that are based on weapon damage, otherwise its useless

I think kiting and moving to avoid damage is necessary to keep the game from being completely braindead. I'd say not being able to facetank everything is good from a design standpoint, however shit oneshotting you is kinda rendering that moot since that's shitty design too.

OP with OP gear. With the currency just good weapon costs you can set up a Necro/Sab/Trickster to rape everything.

Is it better than soldier/demo forcewave and fire spam?

Dunno about balancing, but one thing they can do to make melee more appealing is to actually have good animations. One of the reasons I dropped Grim Dawn after barely 20 minutes of playing is because every single melee weapon I found didn't have any kind of satisfying attack animation or hit effect. At least Diablo 3's melee animations have a nice crunch to them.
