PCfags have to pay at least $800 to get the performance of a next gen console, kek.

Do you seriously think that next gen consoles will have this tech in them?

PC is not a console and does not participate in any wars.
If you start comparing PC to console you already lost.

go be retarded there

This, lmao. Console babbies are incredibly fucking stupid.

A used 570 is still stronger than modern consoles
Its like 90 usd

fuck off we're full

>PCfags have to pay at least $800 to get the performance of a next gen console
man its always funny how cocky consolefags get before the systems actually release

$1400? Fuck me, dios mios.

Since when does a GTX980 cost $800?

Alternatively wait one year and buy a mid-tier card that outperforms consoles by a fuck ton since Consoles are stuck in time and PC users are not.

>$400 for the rtx 3060.

The 3060 will be enough to out match next gen console specs, also remember next gen console still can't match current high end gpus

Good PCs are an expense, but the payoff is great. Consoles would be alright if they let you have more control over the graphics settings, and I'm happy to see you guys getting some semblance with the performance and quality modes, but a finer control would be nice. Also nice to see you can somewhat rebind buttons too now. Still can't use kb/m outside of a very few select games but still. You guys are slowly getting there. Too bad about the lack of mods though. I feel sorry you guys get shafted as much as you do.

A 2070 Super will last longer for games then the PS5 or Xbox

1400 is much less than I expected, but they should still be executed without delay.

pc gaming will die off if the "mid range" segment is $400.

This

You dumb bitch. We have next-gen console performance now. 3070 will probably equivalent to the PS6.

My GTX 970 has lasted me like 2 console generations, so no, that isn't true at all.

In fact I'm probably going to keep getting better performance with this 970 going into this current gen, too.

I know it's just speculating, but do you guys think the 3090 is replacing the Ti, or is the 3090 a brand new card that's going to be between the Ti and the Titan? There's no way it's replacing the Titan at $1400, but $1400 seems a little steep for what would be a 3080Ti model. Kinda hoping a 3080Ti releases later for like $1000, because I'm weary about the 3080 only having 10gb of memory.

Dont you ever learn consolefags?

Attached: 88387956.jpg (960x760, 80.2K)

The 750ti beat or matched the $400 PS4 and cost $150. Now you need a card that costs as much as the new consoles to match ps5. Its unbelievable how all the fucking turbovirgins here dont seem to have noticed they are getting fucked over by nvidia and amd. Probably all a bunch of zoomers with RGB shit.

whos this?

>1060 was $250
>3060 is $400

So the consoles aren't released yet and they are already obsolete.
Next generation indeed.

The 2060 was $350. Be glad its not a steep increase goyjin.

If the 3060 is the performance of a 2070/2070 Super, then I don't mind paying that price.

Attached: smug.jpg (292x326, 19.61K)

i got a 750ti some years ago
no reason to update still

The fact this girl isn't tatted is a fucking blessing and I cannot stop looking at those thighs AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

>3060 is $400
>same performance as a 1080
>which could be had years ago for $400
Seems we've hit a price/performance wall.

Nvidia said they want to simplify their naming because remember the 1650/ti/super and 1660/ti/super all this super and ti nonsense is confusing normies so they’ trying to make it simpler.
They might do away with or just make less ti cards. Considering they have a new sku(3090) they might not make anymore. It all hinges on how competitive amd are.
>because I'm weary about the 3080 only having 10gb of memory.
yeah but there is improved memory compression so we’ll see how well it fairs

I bought a set of parts for a new build back in 2016, but due to a really dysfunctional life situation I never ended up assembling it or even opening the parts; and over the past 4 years I've occasionally sold parts and bought new ones under the expectations I'd be able to build it soon, and was going to also sell the GPU (a 1070) and then buy a new Nvidia GPU that was gonna release this year, probably the 3070

However, I read that apparently the new nvidia GPU's use a new PCIE format, one that even the upcoming new intel CPUs won't fully support it. I realize that it's not like existing CPU's/the new intel CPUs can't use it, and it's more that they just can't use the full bandwidth, but how likely is it that that will matter, say, midway through this next generation 3-4 years from now?

And/or, is the 8700k not even going to cut it, with me hitting prefomrance issues from it before I even run into the bandwith thing to begin with? Is it even still considered a solid mid to high end CPU?

Here's the list of what I currently got; I plan on mostly playing 1080p-1440p; 60 to 120fps,but I also want to be able to do raytracing at 1080; which obviously the 1070 can't do and I imagine even, like, the 2070 would struggle with a bit for higher end games this next gen

Attached: desktop build current.jpg (717x869, 350.85K)

where did you get that a 3060 will perform the same as a 1080 either than talking out your asshole?

Good little consumer. You get more value when you buy more and ignore how prices have gone up with each new gen.

What is this from user? I don't recognize the game.

reminder that this is the best looking game on the PS4

Attached: 1413203615-driveclub-tm-20141013133803.jpg (1779x998, 641.78K)

It isn't.

You can't possibly think that the consoles will compare to a 3080 lmao. They will barely compare to a 1070 ffs

I have a 970 my dude. I actually need to upgrade unlike people who already have RTX cards or 1070's.

where do you get this information?

Attached: crackers.jpg (325x333, 31.15K)

both of the next gen consoles don't even have ray tracing

>970 was only around 300 bucks at launch
Take me back plz

But I have to performance of next-gen already with a 2070s

What the FUCK do I replace my with dor 1440p gaming?

>I actually need to upgrade
you don't

Ignore his dumb ass. A 2070 Super is 550 dollars on a good day. Either way you get DLSS, so his point is moot.

Lol. Prices are supposed to go down. You can just buy a 2070 super for less.
It’s like the 2060 super that costs $350 when I can buy a used 1070ti for $250 for the same performance.
If anything your being charged more for a year old gpu performance.
Think about it goyim

Should I just stay at 1080p at this point with the way prices for gpus keep getting jacked up?

>970
you needed to upgrade the moment you bought that meme card you idiot, how anyone could buy that garbage when the r9 290 already existed is beyond any comprehension.

Hahahaha console shitters really thought this

Attached: 1584224562917.gif (382x308, 1.47M)

maybe he doesn't want to play on low settings anymore, the 3.5 wasn't very good

Nvidia lied is how. Even with the assumed 4 gigs in mind (and not 3.5), people were arguing over the drivers as they still do to this die. Either way it worked out for me because I got a kickback via the lawsuit and also Amazon for false advertising. My 970 was like 200 bucks after it was all said and done and I used it for four years.

I just want to be able to hit 120fps on my VR, realistically a 3070 should be able to achieve that right?

Attached: 1544024424555.jpg (708x480, 31.19K)

>low settings
of what , theres no fucking game worth playing that requieres even a 750ti

Says you. I actually like playing newer games instead of CS:GO/Dota 2/LoL.

Maybe, like I said, if it's the performance for nearly the same price, I'm gonna go with the 3060.

Plus, with the RTX series you get DLSS 2.0 + ray tracing shit which is becoming a lot more popular and games are being designed around it. So I'd rather be with the times.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know that when I bought it 4-5 fucking years ago you gigantic cum guzzling faggot

Attached: foot.jpg (245x169, 13.84K)

ambient occlusion IS raytracing
Go shill somewhere else

>he plays pixel shit

It's not fucking 1989 anymore you fucking nigger.

i don't play cs dota and lol so nice projection,
but guess you like unoptimized shit console ports if you need to update
