WHAT THE FUCK

is there even any point to grabbing anything other than bowser in these games?

King bob omb, and collecting coins off the crazy boxes and regular bob ombs.

i like to grab king bobomb and banish him to roll in a pit for eternity

Murdering infant penguins. Don't lie you did it too.

>2 BALLS
Little known fact: the model for that ball pit is actually called BobScotum

Deepest lore

OMG how do computars work?
A-are you telling me that every frame mario's world is destroyed only to be recreated the next one? MIND B.L:O:W.N

The box that lets you jump high.

>devs: we did this because it was easier and faster to implement
>fans: OMG THIS IS SOOO DEEP AND INTERESTING!

this just reeks of "i have no sense of humor and tried to make a funny image macro"

If you clear Chain Chomp's Gate first, then reeneter and select that same mission, will there still be 3 balls? Imma test this

deepest lore

is it possible to grab bowser's floating yellow orbs?

Nah it's funny

>the structure of a game isn't allowed to be interesting

>he doesn't find clever workarounds used in gamedev fascinating
ur a faget

Every room, cell, map, etc. in any game takes place in one solitary void. Usually you can see this void if you glitch out of bounds. No matter how big or small the game world is, every room is just instructions for the computer to put things at specific coordinates of this void. You are always in the same void.

The void is just a projection of your computer's default state when it has no instructions: nothingness. Every program ever written just gives instructions to display things in this void. It is all the same void, shared universally across your computer. You have different windows open, sure, but those are just instructions to give the illusion that one window is on top of another.

Every game you have ever played and every program you have ever used has all revolved around the exact same void. Any distinction between games and other games and other software is an illusion.

as a ""dev"", not really.

>When you grab an object, it's not that object!
>It's actually an object that looks and behaves exactly like it!
So it's pretty much that object.

Mario 64 threads are my favorite threads on Zig Forums.

>the battle for the castle has just begun

So this line confirms that all the NPCs are aware they live in a painting in Peach's castle?

>grab object
>original object get deleted while creating a separate entity that looks the same as said object (think of it as a spy disguising as a box)
>when placed, the entity gets deleted and the object is respawned

Yeah so it's the same thing. It's a video game, none of those objects actually exist. Deleting one and instantly creating an exact copy right next to it might as well be the same exact object. You dont say something is a new object every frame because it's rendered each time.

why would i think of it as a spy disguising as a box

mario if he real

Due to it being coded that way it can cause certain bugs where the object Mario is holding and the real object can get desynched.

Holy mother of soul!
