Series made the transition to 3D and Gamefreak thinks they can make them just as quickly as the games with sprites, and for a while they partnered with crappy phone companies instead of making proper spinoffs on the consoles. They're starting to come out with proper spinoffs again, but they need to extend the time between generations so that the main series can have the proper time and care it needs to have the content that the 2D games had, but that probably won't happen since that would throw the anime series off.

Pokemon was always baby-tier. Maybe it seems like it's gotten easier because you're not a little kid anymore, but you're kidding yourself if you want to say Pokemon at any point required effort to complete.

I had a living dex and a competitive version of about every fully evolved Pokemon and hundreds of shinies, even bred mass collections for friends and even I dropped it post culling.

Literally no consistent standards. The only reason for the disparity was literally a tautological mentality that the game MUST BE GOOD and the INTERNET IS WRONG.

These people are drones. They got the idea that all pokemon first releases in wach gen is perfect as long as it had KANTOOOO (hence why 5 is the exception). As long as pokemon games have a charizard, they'll defend it.
