What "black sheep" of a franchise do you secretly like?

hard mode: no dark souls 2 so fuck off ds2fags I don't want this thread to turn into a souls discussion

Front Mission Evolution

Dragon Age 2 is my favorite Dragon age game.

And fuck you tranny, ME:Andromeda protagonist is Scott, stop roleplaying as women in RPGs.

i mean it depends because certain groups think certain games are better. it's relative. I guess LM2 if I had to pick randomly though. It's not nearly as bad as people say. In fact it's a good game

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days was better than the original.

Zelda 2: Adventure of Link
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Dragon Quest II
Final Fantasy VIII

RE6 is a more ofa black sheep but RE5 is actually my fav RE game

Jak 2
also wouldn't say its my favorite but Wrath of Cortex has a special place in my heart

I love halo 5
the requisition system sucks but as a standalone game it has really fun gameplay and I feel like it would translate really well to pc if they toned down the bullet magnetism

Don't know if I'd necessarily call it a black sheep but nobody ever talks about it.

Final Fantasy XIII. Love the music, love the story and honestly am not that put out by the cutscenes or linearity. Only FF title I've completed.

Splinter Cell: Conviction. It's so ostensibly not a splinter cell game, but as a game itself it was a lot of fun. I wish we could get a version of that game with Batman Arkham Asylum's enemy fear system.
I also thought RE6 wasn't as bad as everyone says it is, it's a good time if you stop thinking of it as a RE game and start thinking of it as a Devil May Cry crossover fanfiction with RE.

dark souls 3

based

your favorite game in your favorite series

Arkham Origins. It has the best writing of the whole series

RE5 coop is some of the best fun you can have in video games, especially when you've bought all the overpowered weapons and have unlimited ammo.

Call of duty ghosts

Fallout 76

OK THIS HAS GONE TO FAR THIS THREAD IS EVIL, EVIL.

Seconded. I liked the wintery, noir-ish look of Gotham in Origins more than the loud, zany splashes of color all over the place in Arkham City. Plus the villains were WAY more interesting and plausible than Hugo Strange and his retarded Saturday Morning Cartoon nonsense plan

too bad you can't reload anymore. I wish older titles had implemented it like R3make and R2make did.

I actually really like it too
theres so much about it that sucks ass but it deserves the vidya equivalent of the most improved award like in middle school sports
the dialogues pretty good and its easier to rp than in fallout 4 (inb4 low bar)
a lot of side quests have really fun premises
theres so many more skill checks than in fallout 4 or any of the dlc
the perk system is complete ass though

Tekken 4 is tied with Tekken 7 for me as the best Tekken game. Its aesthetic and atmosphere and art direction and story is the best in the fighting game genre, period

I believe Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is underappreciated kino that fell victim to both extremely rocky, rushed development and bandwagon hate. Even in its current state I think it's fantastic and it's my favourite Tomb Raider game. It is sad that we will never get the 2 planned sequels to round out the trilogy, complete the God tier story and fix the messy gameplay.

Arkham Knight. Most replayable game in the series for me.

shit i forgot about that i loved that game

Unironically my favorite Wow expansion. The lore was actually cool, gameplay was actually good, Throne of Thunder is objectively one of the best raids in the game (and I personally loved Siege of Orgrimmar), and Timeless Isle was the best world content ever created. And for what it's worth, the legendary quest with Wrathion and the Celestial capes was actually cool.

but this is a good game though

Castlevania Lords of Shadow. The sequels not so much.

lucky fuck. It doesn't even run on my machine even tho Asylum and City would run at 60 fps

Metal Gear Solid Five

Ghost Recon Wildlands.

I wanted to fly around a tropical country wrecking shit with a helicopter gunship, and it lets me do exactly that

Zork Nemesis

I always liked PO

I unironically liked 2 more than 1.

Tribes: Vengeance At least until Ascend became the black sheep.

Arkham origins. It’s too easy though.

Worlds 2 and 3 of Sonic 1

i liked it

FF13.

I dunno, something about it hooks me, despite the giant huge holy shit super massive flaws it has.

Every thing about Halo 5 sucks but i’ll be damned if the gameplay was fun.

Pacman 2: The adventures of Pacman
New Tetris

I dont think any long time MGS fan can deny the gameplay is kino in that game. It disappoints in a lot of ways but not that.

Bioshock 2. Best gameplay out of all 3 bioshock games. The online portion was also overlooked.

Dark Souls 2
