NMH games are so fun bros.

Does heroes paradise have one and two? Can I play it with a controller?

My post will trigger autists but it's the reality: you should emulate nmh1 on rpcs3 because wii version doesn't support controller and you have to rig the setup to pretend to be motion controls, and then just nmh2 with dolphin and make sure you set it to classic controller or whatever. This is assuming you're playing with a gamepad, however this is just the easiest way. I will now receive triggered replies about ps3 version ruining the art style.

Thanks negro, I don’t mind owning the first on ps3. I heard 2 isn’t that great but I may as well play it then move on to Travis strikes back.

Actually, the real Superhero is right here!
Heroes Paradise is only port of the first game, but I know you can fight certain bosses from the second game in it as a bonus.

>implying it's just the artstyle that was ruined

I liked 2 a lot. Just listen to this absolute kino of a stage track.

Don't play that version, it fucks up the art style and runs even more like shit than the Wii version and is generally bad. It's just the first game with some shitty extra missions and bosses from 2 thrown in that make no sense. Best way to play right now is on Dolphin. 1 doesn't let you use a normal controller, but 2 does you really should play with the motion controls though it's kino

Like clockwork really

release date when?

If you're going to play the ps3 version, don't actually play on the ps3, the performance is shit, like literally worse than the wii shit, that's why he said to emulate it.
>NMH1 soon™
>NMH2 in Nov
>NMHIII in Jan 2021

I just emulated No More Heroes recently and I gotta say, this games kind of ahead of its time. The gameplay got kind of repetitive quick but everything else about it is classic. How good are the sequels?

Has any of this stuff re-released on the Switch?
I just generally like its joycons better, if only for not needing a censorbar and finding them oddly comfortable compared to the Wiimotes.

I wonder if we'd get a NMH1/2 port announcement for the VGAs with a smarmy comment from Travis about NMH3 missing its 2020 release window and then he gets announced for Smash

I get that NMH is now an old game for an old system, and appreciate you wanting to make it more accessible to new players.
At the same time, these games benefit greatly from being played on original hardware. I don't think the Wii is quite old enough that anons won't have one lying around, or be able to buy one secondhand, particularly considering how many were sold. Plus, a lot of those units were only used to play Wii Sports for two weeks, and are still in good condition. The games themselves can be pirated. I'd recommend emulation as a last resort.

2 has an amazing soundtrack, mixed reception on gameplay changes (no world map, can change weapons mid level, etc) and generally poor reception on story
TSA has great music/art/story, but the change in camera is really disliked, gameplay is about as deep, but different and still suffers from repetition. People really blow the sudaverse stuff out of proportion, most things are fun cameos for an anniversary title, but a few strands are going to tie into III
That would actually make more sense. Like Bayo 1+2 and 3 all over again, which we know is something Suda had in mind and Nintendo seems willing to oblige him. I don't know about smash though, as much as I want him in, I don't know how realistic it actually is
NMH1 has been rated for Switch in Taiwan, but that's the extent of what we know. A killer7 linkedin profile was found, but the engine software guy said they didn't follow through with it, however the guy who found the listing in the first place said if the banner with switch included was actually old, he would have found in the 2 years it's been up and thinks it's just damage control

2 is good but not directed by suda, and it shows. Fantastic soundtrack though. TSA is great but nowhere near as good as the first. I think it’s more of an appetizer for 3.

>as much as I want him in, I don't know how realistic it actually is
Between the 5/6 pass characters we've seen so far, I'm pretty well convinced anyone can get it at this point if Sakurai wants them in and their owners are willing to play ball.
I was thinking about how weird it is the other day that there isnt a SINGLE NMH spirit in Smash. They have mother fuckers from other indies like Shantae and Shovel Knight but not a single showing of Travis even in Spirits.
No representation at all for the series that has favored nintendo systems for a long time.
I have a feeling Nintendo might look to port a lot of Suda's works onto the Switch as a stop-gap in early 2020, and that Travis' odds for Smash are fairly likely given that it feels like they've burned through a lot of the more obvious first party and even third party characters

I hope it's good

Basically
TSA feels like Suda playing around with some ideas that he hadn't really done before. The areas with different gimmicks and the chip system all felt like experiments to cut his teeth on ideas he wanted to expand in 3.
And now I heard somewhere that chip skills and the Death Drive glove are going to be part of Travis' moveset in 3

The director of the entire series says to not play the PS3 version

Nintendo seems to be prepared to give NMH big support, I wouldn’t be surprised if the franchise’s popularity reaches its highest when the ports and 3 hit.

You heard wrong. 2 is great.

I find the whole situation kind of curious. Nintendo didn't publish TSA and aren't publishing NMHIII, but they also handled worldwide distribution, advertising, applying to ratings agencies, etc, basically everything publishers do. The fact that we didn't get a spirit event when TSA came out and then NMHIII getting a spot at E3 2019 (6 months after they started dev and Nintendo already signed the distribution deal, basically funding the game) and then a TGA slot makes me think they have bigger plans for Travis/Suda

>And now I heard somewhere that chip skills and the Death Drive glove are going to be part of Travis' moveset in 3
this is true, he mentioned it in a destructoid interview shortly after the e3 reveal (including the rider suit being playable) and in the new game expo + footage, you can see the 4 face buttons for skill sets

I'm of the opinion that heroes' paradise has a pretty cool artstyle (though some jacket colors felt muted), but ruins the pacing of the original game
Not to mention that it really should be played with motion controls. Hopefully they'll announce a port.

All of the old suda games should be ported at this point, silver case, flower sun & rain, killer7

Well TSA came out before Smash, but yeah, nothing at all.
I do think they will do a big push for Suda in the future. In what form, I'm not sure. I'd love them to port every single one of his non-NMH games, put it into a big $60 Suda collection.

it's kind of ridiculous tsc/25w skipped switch in the first place. vn's seem so much better to read in bed, I can't imagine using a ps4 to play one on a tv

>Well TSA came out before Smash
No it didn't, after Nintendo signed on to be the distributor, they delayed TSA to Jan 2019 because Smash was taking the December 2018 slot

Fucking aces. It also looks like they're using a lot of the same visual effects from TSA in 3. Pretty sure they're being generated by Travis and not the enemies

Wait, you're right. My memory is all fucked
I could have sworn it came out in the 2018 drought but I guess it came out at the beginning of 2019

"I'm a Goddamn superhero" is the best line in any trailer of the last 10 years prove me wrong
