I honestly miss the Mii Channel and Mii Plaza, sure they were pretty pointless but they were fun to dick around in for a little bit. Now the Mii's have just been relegated to a tiny corner on the Switch

This is the only thing that bothers me, Switch's UI is tremendously lazy. Everything else is subjective. Couldn't care less about AC, most people who play it love it because they're not autistic faggots. XC is also a port, by the way. Pokemon is not for me, Paper Mario was alright, Club House is not for me, Pikmin is ok, I will buy it later when it's discounted since I've never owned Wii U, Mario Collection is great because playing GCN and Wii nowadays is annoying, not gonna buy it though.

The only things I genuinely hate about the Switch's interface are that you can't customize fucking anything, and that you can't arrange your games the way you want, including folders.
The worst part is that hacking proved that it's more than possible for Nintendo to implement this without it affecting performance, but they still can't be arsed to.

I'll never forget the days of having a red wii to play Mario All Stars, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, NSMBWii with my siblings, and playing Brawl and enjoying collecting all of the music CDs.

Overall i had a ton of fun this year, many games i enjoyed solo and a few that's really fun with friends. Of course most of these aren't on the switch so maybe that's why its been lackluster for you.
