so the quest has been discontinued and the quest 2 is being revealed next week. should i resell my rift s and buy a quest 2 before the price tanks after the reveal? the quest being discontinued confirms it's not a quest lite and a true successor but knowing facebook it could be a down grade it many ways and be worse than the rift s for pcvr so it seems like a gamble.

i've been debating selling my quest for a reverb g2 but if quest 2 somehow has comparable hardware i'll nut up despite my feelings over facebook. there's a lot of doubt over pcvr functionality, only time will tell.

I have a headset and I used it every day for a month before I got bored of it. Now every other week or so, the most I'll do is play H3VR for an hour.

i use mine a few times a week between pcvr and quest games, mainly superhot and beat saber for light cardio. the magic fades away when you get used to it but to each their own, if i wasn't so shy i'd have sunk hours into vr chat

as a half life game this would have been kind of underwhelming, but as it is now it's fantastic. i think people shit on it because of unrealistic expectations but it definitely raised the bar for vr games in ways Alyx couldn't

might have to tune the settings, if you had an rtx card you'd be able to use some special settings to get better picture and frames but you should be okay. might have to prioritize boneworks in task manager because of the cpu load

It's cheap, that's why most will buy it. They've been waiting for Alyx and other big names to get on the VR train, and now Facebook will gain because they sell good headsets for a quality price while others charge between $500-$1000.
