Comes out tomorrow, does anyone give a shit?
Kingdoms of Amalur
I'll take a look at some point
Wasn't super in love with the game to begin with but it was sometimes fun
Heh, y-yeah it's a great game

> The physical Collector’s Edition for an SRP of $109.99 / €109.99 / £99.99.
fuck off THQ jew
It looks just like the old version. I have no idea what they "improved".
Wasn't this that game that had some ridiculously expensive collector's edition shit (the most expensive ever at the time) when it was released?
if they didn't fix the difficulty it's not worth playing. the game eventually gets way too easy even on the hardest difficulty
>Camera options!
>You can now change the appearance of the HUD to smaller than default or completely hidden.
>A new Very Hard difficulty setting. This setting changes the damage output of enemies, health of players and allies and the amount of attacks that enemies may do at any one time. Level caps on zones are also higher than other difficulties.
>New level zone calculation: The original game had all zones marked with a minimum and maximum level. Upon entering the current player level was clamped onto this range and stored. Meaning if you entered a 2-7 range at level 2, the whole zone stayed at level 2. The remaster instead scales the zone up to the max of the range.
>The game now uses the current difficulty level to determine the min and max level range. On casual difficulty the level is reduced a bit on hard and very hard it is increased instead.
>The XP gain has been reduced to cater to the increased level of enemies, and the XP is not increased when playing on harder difficulties due to the effect of fighting more higher level enemies.
>Loot containers now only store their generated loot when they are opened while before they used to store it when entering a zone and were generated to the current player level at that time.
>Loot generation has been changed so that you will more often get items that fit your character’s skill set. Loot is mostly randomly generated but they increased the weights of loot that match the players skill lineup better and there is a virtual counter that increases the chance of better loot drops when you don't find anything good.

If they were jew they'll put denuvo. But they didn't. It's drm free.
>classic edition cost 5 bucks
>the newer cost 40
even fucking jews don't go this hard
>balance changes
should have been a patch
I never played the dlc, so I'll pick it up and give it a play through at some point before the expansion comes out.
The only reason I have a passing interest in this game is that Grant Kirkhope did the music. But I can't imagine he was in his element composing for a western fantasy RPG.
>PLEASE BUY OUR PATCH FOR 40 SHEKELS
Dark Souls Remastered tier.
Whatever, I don't care. Own the original so I'll just pirate this new version. Don't believe in rebuying a game I already own.
Have you played the original? It was an ok game but it had some balancing and leveling problems that were really fun-killers. The game needs such a big change in that system that I understand perfectly that a big patch for a game abandoned in 2012 by an extinct company doesn't compensate them. It's not just a little balancing patch.
Instead, they fix those problems, retouch the graphics section (yes, it's more noticeable than it seems), add all the changes that the (small) game community asks for and release it for 40 dollars with all the expansions plus the promise of new dlc.
Honestly, I don't see it wrong.
...
>level caps still present
dropped
>pay for our small qol and balance patch we should've added for free a week after release
lmao, no thanks
I remember this game was aesthetically pleasing but I also remember getting bored and dropping it after an hour or two.
How do you expect a game to have no level caps? If no game had them, all areas would be adapted to your level at all times.
It doesn't make sense that the enemies in the first zone of the game still challenge you even when you are a behemoth lvl99.
It must have lvl caps.
I guess it's real, it's no joke. Zig Forums faggots really are incapable of reading.
you remember? I doubt you were alive then
the game looked like shit and everyone here made fun of this as the most uninspired mediocre trash ever conceived
Calm down shill. Nothing you'll say or do will make me buy this. I'll pirate and seed it.
you can already pirate it
I really don't care if you buy the game or not, I will pirate the shit out of it.
I'm only pointing out how much of a retard you are.
Who knew the taxpayers of Rhode Island were all huge R.A Salvatore fans
Without level cap it would be like Oblivion, with enemies constantly scaling to your level. This in turn makes every fight on all levels exactly the same and you never really feel like your character is powerful.
Just like the original then, nobody cares
I had no idea. This game was such a bore and they won’t fix the core problems of the game. It’s gonna suck
> How do you expect a game to have no level caps? If no game had them, all areas would be adapted to your level at all times.
Have you heard of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? Memeing aside, it has a very good implementation of level scaling.
>lvl caps are a meme because bethesda
never change Zig Forums
I do.
No, couldn't even be bothered to finish the original release.
