Are you planning to upgrade your gpu, Zig Forums?

Every time you repost the same thread you pp grows smaller.

It's not too later before discord trannies catch you, user.

Seethe & cope

When high end cards are under a thousand bucks again because that is the most disgusting shit "influencers" have normalized.

People are saying supply is limited and chances are you might not get one on release. I was building a new rig and all I need is GPU. But I’m not gonna wait 4 months to get the 3000 series.

So I might just get a 2070 super and chill for a couple years.

im gonna get a ps5 and chill for the next 7 years

Maybe a 3070 if my 18 y/o NEET ass can amass $1200 to upgrade my rig with by Black Friday.

the trannies are coming to get you

until a interesting game comes out, i stayed with my 750ti for a long then they announced dmc 5 and i bought a 1060 6gb.

Reminder if you pair a 30xx card with an Intel CPU you'll be gimping with the lack of PCIe 4.0 support. Your card will be fine until next gen games hit in two months which will really start making use of the 4.0 connection. All Intel CPUs are confined to PCIe 3.0 slot, get a 4.0 compatible AMD CPU!

Is the 10GB ram on a 3080 enough if I only plan at gaming at 1440p 144fps? I hear people saying 4k games are using around 9-10GB, but I'm not planning on using 4k

Never, I'm fine with my gtx650ti and I play mostly old games anyways.

Wait for amd

Even the most intensive modern games only use 4-6GB vram at 4k

But user, i'm fine with my 1080ti. Sadly i can't run at 4K ultra (at most 2K high-medium) but don't care anyways.

Guess I'm getting a 3080 then. I'll probably wait to see the benchmarks for the founders edition. I'm almost certain I'm going with EVGA because of their incredible support

I will do the same as always. Buy the new one on amazon, put my old one into the package and send it back. Worked twice so far, hope it works for the 3080 aswell.

THANK YOU FOR THAT BOX
I DID NOT KNOW WHERE TO READ

I wouldn't abuse that too much. I had a friend try the same kind of thing too often with claiming packages never arrived and amazon eventually called him out on it.
I did the same thing though for a nice pair of wireless earbuds. I bought a shitty $10 pair off ebay, then a $150 pair off amazon and returned it saying they sent me a cheap one by mistake

Question: why do gpu manufacturers manufacture according to nvidia/amd specifications and not their own? Why don't they make their own base designs? Why are there only 2 gpu designers?

And please don't say it's because it is expensive, because manufacturing microchips is also prohibitively expensive and they do it.

user, this are my specs and i can't run pretty much anything at 4K Ultra, 60FPS. I need to lower some options to get stable 60 FPS.

>The Witcher 3, 1440p, Ultra, 60FPS
>Monster Hunter World, 1440p, Ultra, some options on medium, 60FPS
>RE 2 Remake, 1440p, similar config to MHW, 60FPS

When i go for 4K i get massive drops to 40 or 30ish. Unplayable for me to be honest.

I built a new pc last autumn, so the next upgrade will probably be in about five or six years.

yes 1080 -> 3080

only next year, shit is expensive as fuck in Brazil right now, hopefully it gets better

I have a 970, it has been nice, but the meme of 3.5GB VRAM and it not being able to pull 60fps at all times on some modern games is really shit.

Im buying a 3090 and 3080!!!!!!

that was bitcoin, not influencers. the 3k series is in the hundreds, not thousands. Still pricey, but the previous gen costs should plummet

>i can't run pretty much anything at 4K Ultra, 60FPS. I need to lower some options to get stable 60 FPS.
>proceeds to list what he can and cant run at ultra on 1440
You realize 1440 isn't 4k, right?

yes, that's why he said 'can't', you probably misread and thought he said can

user can run all those games at 1440 but immediately tanks at 4k

I had a 7870 when I built this PC in 2010. Got a 1060 last year. So in another 9 years.

Hilarious he spent all that money on an Intel chip just for that. Any AMD chip would've smashed 1440.

again, he can run 1440p, just not 4k

But I agree, AMD better than intel this gen, same or better performance for cheaper.

Yeah i know, what i was saying is when i use 4K on those games i get frame drops, and hard ones. My GPU have 11GB VRAM so saying that you only need 4-6GB for 4K is wrong i think. Probably GDDR6 is a massive jump but i don't know.

Exactly.

Yes, I want to make a 1440p build and 3070 with a 4000 series Ryzen CPU seems like the best choice.

literally just got an asus 6GB 1660 super for 150€ in a clearance sale. im not gonna upgrade for like 6 years at least.

I'm waiting for the EVGA Hybrid edition. My 1080 Ti was a founder's edition and I used their hybrid kit... It was fine but this time I'll just wait lol

I don't want to assume what that gif is supposed to mean, but it makes me support Trump more.
