when?
When?
probably around november judging from previous releases
September 22
Other releases have dropped within a week or two of testing ending. And ODST's tests ran almost flawlessly.
why?
the game is brown and bloom garbage, the game went quantity over quality
>brown and bloom garbage
It is?
>Contacting server to get the latest matchmaking data, please wait. [Accept]
Fix this shit i want to play multiplayer
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
can you cherry pick harder?
80% of the game looks like this
>cherry pick
You spend like 75% of the game in nighttime environments.
What is Master Chief doing there?
It's a mod.
Soon
This
I need it so bad. I've been waiting on playing the campaigns until all the Bungie games were released so I could do a chronological marathon and I can't fucking wait anymore.
damn, halo infinite looks like that?
7 minutes.
Safari is one level you retard
I've just started playing Halo for the first time ever. Finished Reach and started CE. Gotta say, it's kinda fun, reminds me of Unreal a lot.
never
when it releases it'll just be a picture of a poorly drawn cock with a note telling you that bungie were bad and that 343 is soooo much better
I like ODST the best. It mixes up typical linear levels with a semi-open hub world.
Imagine that because they've been doing the collection in chronological order, that they finally get the Halo 4 port out and it happens to be absolutely perfect. The only perfect port they'd ever produced on the collection because they'd had sufficient experience after the Bungie titles that they finally give it their all just for their "baby". Because fuck Bungie, apparently.
And yet they waste it on a conventional thing where the odst is a de facto spartan.
pretty radical difference in atmosphere and tone going from reach to ce isn't? the main trilogy is a lot more sci-fi
That's true. The visor mode also ruins the experience by having no downside in the dark.
But at least we have mods to fix both of those.
Hopefully soon so they can FINALLY work on getting Halo 4 out.
Fuck all you all halo 3 fags, I've been waiting all year long to finally get the chance to play Halo 4 as it's the only Halo I've never played
>Halo 4
>perfect
Lighting is still fucked up, the Reclaimer bug, Spartan Ops textures, Mini Covenant. 4 needs work.
Seriously, I want a fucking do-over of the CE:A remaster.
Hopefully they grant official mod support with tools or at least restructure the content into mod friendly archives.
>Halo 4
but that's the single worst Halo game in the entire series
Well full disclosure I haven't played Halo 4 since having it on the 360. I think my sentiment is still valid. We've been getting slightly less shit with every port they finalize, but there's still too much to be done that they couldn't possibly bother with on their own.
That's why I'm holding out for full mod support.
They allow for full modding, they can basically offload a lot of the trouble onto the community at large, and they'll fix everything for free.
it's halo with toilet seat armor, killstreaks, no power weapon spawns and QTEs
>We've been getting slightly less shit with every port they finalize
Because 3, 4, and ODST were ported from the original source code. Reach worked mostly fine too aside from the animation issues and sound. CE and 2 just used the old shitty PC ports.
it would be especially great if they shipped unencrypted files or provided some sort of api to hook whitelisted functions in the executable, but with how entwined and central multiplayer is, I doubt they'd go that far.
>QTEs
The FUCKING ENDING. WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO USE QTE'S FOR THE FUCKING ENDING?!!
kind of fucking baffling how they don't just use gearbox for multiplayer and port CE from xbox
Please understand 343 is a small indie dev.
Considering multiplayer is the most broken in CE, I'd rather they didn't. Campaign just has some missing graphical effects, but MCC CE doesn't play a thing like the original's multiplayer.
giving the covenant back their bomb, probably
It'd be a really large undertaking, and I haven't seen any guarantee that the source code for the original release still exists. Even then, as we've seen with the audio issues the Reach port shipped with, they were able to do some niche implementations specialized on the Xbox's hardware that they wouldn't be able to just port over onto PC.
They'd have to get third party vendors involved, which again, it'd be a massive undertaking.
>graphical effects
You can't forget audio either. There are almost as many glitches with audio effects in CE classic too.
Halo 2 classic has a few glitches of its own, and they broke vfx in the cinematics somehow. Crossfades are broken on the classic cinematics.
what are the differences aside from a few changes in map geometry (e.g beaver creek)
the weapon balance is the same isn't it
like 90% of the game takes place in the same city at night time
But my point is, all of the shit wrong in MCC CE's campaign comes down to aesthetic changes that matter less than the actual gameplay, meanwhile the whole of multiplayer is fucked.
Hit registration and shot leading was absolutely destroyed compared to the original. It leads to the game being way easier. Pistol spread is broken on higher framerates too- the window for the game to differentiate between a tap and a hold is smaller so you get punished for tapping at the same rate you did in the original.
so there's not enough shot leading? What about compared to the standalone gearbox release. I remember having to lead shots a lot on that one and it kind of added its own learning curve. MCC feels a lot easier in comparison, just point and click. I wasn't sure if the shot leading in standalone gearbox was intentional or just bad netcode, you're telling me it was like that on xbox too?
I thought the pistol above 60 fps bug was fixed a while back? Still doesn't excuse all the other issues though.
Reminder that for the chronological playthrough its ODST then Halo 2
>pistol and smg feel like shit
>shotgun's pellets disappear after five feet
What the fuck is Bungie's problem with making good weapons? In a series with a two weapon limit at that.
There's not enough shot lead, and off-host players get higher autoaim for whatever reason.
>What about compared to the standalone gearbox release.
The Gearbox release had netcode optimized for dial-up. It handled higher pings poorly. Its projectiles are more delayed, but the amount you need to lead is inconsistent.
They made a bandaid fix by just disabling spread on the pistol and sniper entirely, but only in ranked modes.
don't you go through new mombasa in halo 2 before the covenant have completely fucked it up
i thought odst was taking place concurrently to the latter half of 2
Not with that legendary ending it had.
Balancing shit around multiplayer.
It's why there's no more dual wielding.
I think this makes sense too
save the worst campaign for last lole
The pistol was great. It did terrible shield damage, but it was way more accurate than the carbine so it was better for headshots at range. The SMG was the best weapon against drones too.
