How do we fix tanks?

Do the Dwarf beast tribe quests.

Stop playing the game.

>How do we fix tanks?
cast cure

I'm thinking about playing this, which tank is best?

>aether datacenter
not surprised

light chuckle

Don't play tranny fantasy

Play FFXI

One brings Huggies, One brings Diaps
Two-toned nappies filling with shite
Threescore dirty ten cast aside
Four-fold rattles, no milk in sight

I remember. Our limsa idlers
Their surrender, to dickgirl ERP
Slowly shitting into their diapers
Ever posting to piss off the Jannies
Now I'm thinking "Well was it worth it"
As I led them, to make another thread
I resent this descent to crossposts
Come and save us before we 404

Like broken Shitters progless cast from Discord's gates
(Our slumbering Jannies awake)
We won't get far when parsing, parsing all these greys
(You'll take off dilate and seethe)
And like a fat slob in a diaper drenched in pee
(Disgraced Untouched and Unseen)
And to their beds their rattles shake until they sleep

In lewd modded melodies. Au'ras are naked and bibbed
(Bringing me to the edge)
Deep inside, we're nothing more than Greylets and Shitters.
Through the pain, Tonight our clear is nigh. Aaaaaaaaaaa

all of them are identical in damage, mitigation wise it doesn't matter as long as you know what you're doing.

>CD rotation
What the fuck? You only need to do that for tank busters in high end trials or gigantic pulls. Why are healers so gay?

I got a lot of these "Tank or Healer on a power trip" dungeons back when I played FF14. It's a casual as fuck game, too. Why does this happen so often?

The game had a better community before heavensward I’m glad I quit that faggot infested shithole
I got my account suspended once for calling some toxic asshole a cum drinker in front of the entire alliance raid

WAR is the most boring
PLD and DRK take a minute to get fun
GNB is fine basically when you get there

After picking up WHM and SCH for a while I have no idea how healer mains are able to deal with all the retarded shit. Like, sometimes you get a "tank" that literally won't turn on stance. Fucking mind boggling.

every tank in the game has enough long duration defense buffs that they can cast them in a cycle and have a defense buff up at all times. There's no reason NOT to do this since it increases your parties overall DPS by allowing your healer to cast more damage spells. The only reason a tank would not rotate buffs is if they are lazy or incompetent.

YoU dOnT pAy My SuB
*drinks cum*

the estrogen pills make them extra passive aggressive

>noooo you can't save your CDs for the boss you have to waste them on enemies that are literally referred to as "trash"

Because all classes are like a grey goo, indistinguishable from each other and they feel the need to make sure that you know that you need their grey goo and to never forget it even though they're easily replaceable.

Tank CDs are literally more useful for "trash" than bosses. You don't even need to use a single CD for most dungeon bosses.

bosses don't even do more damage than normal mob pulls if you're doing pulls as big as you should be, and they refresh so fast that you can just use one at all times and never run out

getting hit by 20 trash mobs hurts more than getting hit by 1 boss
you ARE doing big pulls aren't you

>needing CDs for dungeon bosses

God playing these types of games seems like such a miserable existence, why are they so popular?

By healing them.

Casting Holy is literally more effective at keep the tank alive than healing.

I remember a couple months ago when I just got into the game and was leveling sch I spent an entire dungeon trying to politely explain to a tank not just to turn it on, but what it actually was and he didn't understand and use it until the boss.
I have no clue how someone gets to level 20 and done several dungeons and doesn't understand their class. I've taught special needs students and they learned better than some people in this game it's scary.

I don't think I've ever felt like I needed to use a cooldown for a boss except for TBN tankbusters

play with friends instead of randoms
same deal with any online game. you're a chump if you solo queue in mobas or competitive fps.

>what am i doing wrong so i can fix the problem
>telling me how to play is a reportable offense i ask that you stop please

It mainly comes down to aesthetics

> Paladin (starts as Gladiator) - Sword and Shield, some magic abilities.

> Warrior (starts as Marauder) - big two-handed axe, think of a Barbarian.

> Dark Knight (not available until Heavensward) - bug two-handed sword. Good for edgy teens and Guts-cosplayers. My personal favorite

> Gunbreaker (not available until Shadowbringers) - FF8 Gunblade. Don't even thing about this until you play the game and decide to stick with it. They're fun though.

For starting out, I would pick Marauder.

Don't, the controls are way too clunky

>tank doesn't using mitigation
>tank only pulls one mob/group at a time
>tank has armor way below the level of the dungeon
>healer doesn't do damaging spells even when tank is at full health
>healer doesn't cleanse debuffs
>healer causes wipe but blames tank
>dps tries to pull mob groups instead of tank
>dps can't not get hit by AoE attacks
>dps isn't doing their combo/rotations and are just spamming one single ability over and over

Attached: vomit.jpg (680x680, 85.13K)

>Not spamming Cure even when the tank is at 100% health
Do you even heal, bruv?

>I have no clue how someone gets to level 20 and done several dungeons and doesn't understand their class.
Because the game never actually challenges the player and as long as you know to hit a damage button at each GCD, then you'll survive fighting a mob or two and not think about what you could have done better

> Bug two handed sword

That's what I get for phone-posting

Some healer classes have a instant 100% health spell (or with such massive potency it's effectively 100%) so the best strategy is to spam your attack spells until the tank gets as low as possible and then pop that. In that case letting the tank get to 15% is good play

HRT really fucks with your brain user, you need to be patient with FFXIV players

We understood what you meant retard no need to shitpost

It's all FF fans who're trying to play a solo game and you're interfering with their fun.

>tank is more than capable of a large pull of mobs
>still only pulling one at a time if they can
>dps runs ahead and pulls more and drags them back to the tank
nah sometimes i'm grateful when dps pull ahead

You can get the ShB jobs before you get to the expacs, they're in Limsa and Grid.

The guy I was talking about was in Stone Vigil. Stone fucking Vigil. Somehow, someway, he made it to level 41+ without using stance. And yes apparently you can clear SV without your tank using stance, the more you know.

>tell me how to play is a reportable offense
lmfao the absolute state of this cucked mmo.

Tanks and healers not using their shit is awful but the worst to me is when both you (as tank or healer) and your healer/tank have used your CDs and the fucking pack is still not dead because both DPS are retarded.

Attached: 1405394185061.jpg (276x268, 23.83K)

By making sure dps never get to use in game chat again? Literally the most insufferable faggots, if you wanted to tank, then do so. If you think my tanking job isn't up to par, buck up and roll one yourself faggot.

Level 20 is nothing, it's people in Stormblood and beyond who don't know what the stack-marker is that blow my mind.

I appreciated this post.

I just started playing MCH, do I really just spam spread shot when there's a group of more than 3 enemies?

sorry not everyone is a tryhard autist like you

not to move the pressure unreasonably onto the shoulders of the tank but a good tank should realize after the first pull if their team mates are too retarded to do big pulls and scale it back

>dps pulls extra
>tank ignores it and lets dps die to extra pull
>picks it up after and says "next time let me pull"
>continues to be slow

>level 80 fight
>person runs away with stack marker

I learned something today, looks like the only req outside of owning Shadowbringers is that you do need to hit level 60 first.

They all play the same with maybe 1 or 2 small differences but it basically comes down to 123 then rage dump
Dark knight has the blackest night
Gunbreaker a rotation in between skills and paladin casts spells
Don’t play warrior

every class sucks ass until they unlock their other abilities. Don't worry, you get more AoE skills eventually.

But yeah at low level most classes just spam one AoE move over and over again if there are 3 or more enemies for optimal DPS

Yes, in lower levels it's the most braindead class in the game. Eventually you get other aoes but not for a good while.

Bosses are usually less intensive for healers than the actual trash mobs, that is if you are actually doing big pulls. Usually wall to wall pulls are always req to use CDs. Just for the sake of making sure you can have extra dmg going out. Bosses themselves can be mitigated almost 100% by simple healing/decent positioning. Raid bosses are obv a dif story, but this kinda spergery is based on dungeons obv.
