I never really understood the whole point of the joycons snapping on and off.
It's cool to to have a handheld you can dock, but I'd much rather just have a regular handheld I can dock adn then use a good regular controller with. The whole attaching/detaching the joycons felt like a gimmick that just lessened the build quality.
will this one have drift or no?
If you don't like it then just keep them on there, no ones stopping you
I think they mostly did that to keep the option to have wii-like controls.
SO WHAT ABOUT THE LITE WILL THEY STOP SELLING IT? I'M MAD
Yes, drift is part of what makes Nintendo products peak soul.
>It's cool to to have a handheld you can dock, but I'd much rather just have a regular handheld I can dock adn then use a good regular controller with.
That's what anyone with a brain does anyway.
Just like the NX was gonna be this right?
Having a split controller is the Switch's best feature.
Lite always undersold. It's surprising, considering that the Switch does so well in Japan because it's portable, that no one wanted a portable-only Switch. Why would you? Sure if you play mostly portable it makes sense, but why not get the model that can play docked if you ever want to?
Split controllers suck. We've perfected the gamepad, all we need are minor variations on it.
Why would they stop selling it? This is just another option
Yeah
>home console like the Wii
I certainly hope so. I refuse to buy the Switch because it looks like a cheap tablet.
>Pro always docked Switch
I don't see the point, really. It's not going to be more powerful than a PS4
Does it need to be?
If they’re going to make a home console, these motherfuckers should be the controllers.
They already made a console-only Switch. Had the same games and everything. It was called the Wii U.
What is a NX, ancient one?
Are you one of these 40 years old virgin they talk about in books?
Pre-release codename for the Switch. It was pretty common knowledge from 2015 onwards that the WiiU was dead and Nintento was putting everything into a successor.
if you look closely, it's a unique design for both left and right
the switch will probably have a different way to lock them in place
thanks for the info!
zoom zoom!
Depends if they keep using the same joystick component. This is just a patent, but the profile looks similar.
Do they have enough sense to fix the control stick so they don't drift?
it's crazy that nintendo has enough money that when their console flopped they could just say "welp, we're making another one". not even a new generation, just another console. and it absolutely paid off for them.
I might save up for this version then
They should go back to circle pads.
It might be
>New Switch is coming
>most people got the current one anyway
>some games will require two switches because of that
Looks like it's gonna be the same shitty stick component. Fuck that
