Should I get Nier Automata or MGS5?

Planning to buy a video game around october when I’m done with my exams and just wanted your opinion.

Don't play MGS5 unless you've played the past games.

neither

Nier provides more visceral entertainment but MGS5 has a rewarding long-term gameplay cycle.

Depends of what you are looking for and on what platform you are planning to get said games.

Nier

Nier Automata.
It's one of the greatest games ever created.

Meanwhile, MGS5 is an unfinished clusterfuck that essentially undermines an entire 30-year old series.

Automata left me feeling empty inside.

>Automata
>Good
Come on user. Look past the coomer shit.

Automata filled me with hope and passion personally.

At least play the game, coomer homo.

get mgs and jack off to nier

They're both great games imo, depends on what you're looking for. I think this user has it right

I felt that ending E was bittersweet after all you went through, it sure want you to be hopeful after all you experienced tho

MGS5 is the best sandbox Ubisoft never made. as a conclusion to Metal Gear it's obviously compromised and rushed to get the job done at any cost.
Nier Automata is a flashier, more polished followup to a very unique title. looks like most who love it didn't play the first one, most who did will tell you it was a letdown.

i don't fucking know, MGS5 after playing everything else in release order, Nier Automata if you wanna jump in right now.

Also this with Automata

nah, automata have call backs and references but playing the previous games is not 100% necessary.

The E was the point where the game really went beyond its limits and truly became a living social experience, portraying the small but brightly shining glimmer of hope in mankind, today.
It truly comforted me, telling me I'm not alone, I've done more than enough, and all the suffering portrayed can be avoided.

Automata helped me get into DrakeNier, something I doubt I would've even considered without experiencing N:A first.
It really does not require the other games to work.

Yeh bro I wasn't ready for that emotional roller coaster, specially the last act in the tower when you switch between A2 and 9s pure kino.

yeah as someone who did play them in release order - don't bother. Drakengard is worth experiencing if you know you're about to experience a trippy story with 100% jank gameplay. 2 polished the turd a bit without Taro's involvement and is completely irrelevant. Nier follows a different ending and is a complete trip with maybe 25% jank. Drakengard 3 is decent i guess, still a bit janky but fun for the most part.

get both. MGS5 goes on sale for like 5 bucks

Thanks niggers will probably get nier

>nooooo where was my baby soriddu snekku infiltrating outer heaven

More like
>Where's half of my fucking game??
>Where's the tight game design??
>Why is it all so fucking generic and soulless?!

Nier Automata

>Should I get Nier Automata or MGS5?
No.

>not choosing a based horror game for Halloween

what a dumb ass

Nier for sure.

written material after E gives the androids a happy ending if you were wondering

I want more games with 2B in it.

Nier is way better.

>more polished
user please. MGSV was an unfinished turd but it was highly poliched. Nier was a lovingly crafted near masterpiece but it was undercooked due to the low budget.

Dozens to choose from.

Honestly this, they are dirt cheap

>Nier follows a different ending and is a complete trip with maybe 25% jank
I'm really wondering if Taro will allow a simple remaster to exist without subtly rewriting everything just to fuck with us.
