What’s the best DLC that’s ever been made for a game?
What’s the best DLC that’s ever been made for a game?
The Burning Crusade
Broodwar
Dead Money
Does Brood War count?
Dragonborn
Point Lookout
Old Hunters
Ringed City
All up there for me. I'd add Dead Money too, but I feel like it's hit or miss for some people.
This one
The Old Hunters and it isn’t even close. It’s a masterpiece
3 for Dead Money so far, including me . Gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised.
blood and wine
Episodes from Liberty City
Pic related
Awakening for DA:O
That's what comes to mind.
What's so great about Old Money? I kind of disliked how it took away my equipment and the actual level design was kind of lame with the half-baked stealth elements.
I liked Old War Blues better for NV DLC
>Dragonborn
>Point Lookout
>Old Hunters
>Ringed City
>All up there for me. I'd add Dead Money too, but I feel like it's hit or miss for some people.
Reaper of Souls transformed the shitfest that was D3 into an actually playable game. Civ 5 dlc made it incredible too. There are many DLCs that add content to generally extend a game to a greater lifespan of the same or similar quality but those two are the only truly transformative ones that immediately come to mind
>Old Money
>Old War Blues
How do you fuck up the names so bad.
Kek
Well, they were way better than Honesty Hearts and Lonely Path
It was difficult in a way that wasn’t just bullshit bullet sponge enemies. It was refreshing to see an actual attempt at survival horror in the fallout universe and I loved the atmosphere of the whole DLC
You're forgetting Mailman's Heirlooms and the Hit N' Run Collection.
the story telling, the ambience, and the radio at the end hits really hard
Old Hunters
Based
undead nightmare by a landslide
Nothing I'd like to talk about.
Holy FUCK how could I forget, incredible DLC. We’re never getting a rockstar single player DLC
again bro’s....
Old Hunters and it's not even close.
Dark Arisen is pretty great. Some QoL fixes for the main game, but the biggest thing is the expansion area itself which is better than the main game solely because the devs toned down the ambition to match the budget. It's a much better experience since it focuses on the game's strengths - battles and dungeon crawling - whereas the main game is mostly empty and the open world contributes nothing because majority of areas are arbitrarily uncompletable unless you get the related quests beforehand that make key items actually spawn, coupled with a main plot and meaningless political disputes that go nowhere until the big bad just decides to show up again out of nowhere.
Does GZ count? Its title is "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" denoting its a add on to the main MGSV story so I guess you could argue its sort of a dlc.
I feel like I'm the only person who fuckin' hated Shivering Isles. KotN was a million times better and it wasn't even a real expansion, just a glorified DLC. Everything about Shivering Isles was bad to me, it wasn't fun to explore, all the new items and powers were ugly and boring, the dialogue was offensively stupid, the quests were boring, everything just missed the mark.
Paradise Lost for Postal 2
Opposing Force for Half Life 1
The Brigmore Witches for Dishonored 1
Blood and Wine for Witcher 3
Cold, Cold Heart for Arkham Origins
Minerva's Den for Bioshock 2
and what other anons said
>DLC
>posts an expansion pack
fuck zoomers
The main quest line I'll agree was pretty boring, but everything else was pretty cool. Check out the concept art for it, too. It was ambitious as fuck.
Knife of dunwall is better than the base game
PffffffffHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Beyond the Dark Portal
Jesus i hate that dlc. Its the last thing i could possibly but to complete my new vegas 360 copy and i just wont. So unfun and tedious.
You could argue that it's a standalone expansion.
This.
Found it boring back then. Survival was fun though.
>literally whole thread is toddshit or soulsborne
Awful taste
>T. zoomer
