Is it still the best FPS of all time?

Maybe not the best FPS by itself but I truly believe that Doom 2 has one of the strongest enemy rosters put into any game ever. I think its the main reason its still played and modded so heavily even to this day.

the city levels were shit, and the ssg is too strong which throws off the weapon balance heavily. it's still one of my favorite games, and i still love the ssg, but it's not without its flaws. i agree with what this user said

novelty stages are half the fun of fps though
