I gotta say I really dislike lesbian Tawna and the writing in Crash 4 in general. There are too many cutscenes and the jokes miss way more often than they hit. Having a rainbow haired butch woman yell “kawaii” is not a good addition to your game and I’m not sure why they thought to include it. I also think the music isn’t very memorable compared to the old games.
The core platforming gameplay is really good but they overdid it a bit with the hidden boxes. As is, it feels like you have to either ignore boxes altogether and speed through the levels with ease, or meticulously and boringly comb every cranny of the level only to find that you missed one somewhere when you reach the end.

It’s only really hard to 100% the levels. Reaching the end of them is pretty easy. I think Crash 1 in the N Sand trilogy was harder.
