The only difference between CDPR's 2077 dev cycle and regular industry dev cycle is that they were dumb enough to be public with the promise of no crunch.

Every studio goes into a project "promising" that there will be no crunch.

It's not even crunch. It's a total of 6 extra days of work. Each paid for. No one is even working 50 hours a week. Normally crunch means forced 70-80 hour work week.
