titanforging/thunderforging and corruptions were actually fine
I don't let ecelebs control my opinion

what i don't understand about modern blizzard is their aversion to listening to players. there are literally things in the game that no one actually likes, and players tell blizzard this, but blizzard completely ignores them. why? do they not want to retain players?

Californian mindset

Same reason they refused to listen to everyone telling them their disgusting pixarshit, Zootopia looking cringe artstyle is horrible. They outright refuse to believe anything they do is wrong.

>what i don't understand about modern blizzard is their aversion to listening to players
Ego would be my guess. "You think you do but you don't" summarizes modern Blizzard quite nicely.
Part of it is their belief that if they get the player hooked into endless grinds, they will keep sub counts up.
Corruption was literally garbage and was 100% dependent on RNG until they released the vendor. You could drop ~10k on a corruption and then next week get a better piece and you just wasted 10k echos. It was literally garbage.

wish I had the Classic Hyena and the nu-furfag Hyena model image to give context to my post. The cartoon artstyle is absolutely fucking foul and does not represent the cinematics well at all.

10 man raids were comfy as fuck. Almost impossible to find 20 cool people that play the game nowadays.

WoW's art style is great though. would you rather an art style like FFXIV where the characters all look like coomer tier porcelain dolls and the environments are all jagged, empty dogshit?

systems for item creation are stupid when that's the entire function of crafting and should just be implemented better into said crafts

Corruption is by far the worst system that they have ever implemented into this game other than PvP Scaling/Party Sync.

I don't get this, there's plenty non-human races that aren't savages.

how much do they pay you to post the same 3 images and videos over and over again in these threads

People will point to the few systems that worked on some level for some people.
M+ is the one you usually hear people defend or get gud scrub.
Though the issue is the systems they keep trying to drop atop one another combined with the fact that its a 2 year system Even if they use the base system from say artifacts to "grow power" over the past two and Shadowlands with anima. They are so desperate that they never end up working.
Devs at blizzard are so creatively bankrupt they cant figure out how to make a new ranged class or just give people good fights and fun places to explore without loading them up with system upon system upon system. using just ONE of the systems they have put into Shadowlands would be better than trying to figure oiut which of the 7 borrowed power systems were going to be broken in the second patch.

>oomer
reddit

>brings up OTHER GAME unprompted
No one cares shill nigger

Do you think she has even touched the game?

Yes, I would actually.

>XIVfags literally hanging out in WoW threads to keep watch for mentions
so rent free it hurts.

They do listen to the players. Thats how we got most of the garbage into the game the problem is they always like to listen to the wrong group of players they want to cater to at the time.

Wow/blizzard artstyle is for children. If you appreciate wow artstyle past 12 you need to reconsider your tastes because they’re shit.

She's right about white people, you know.
There were no major conflicts in the world until white people invented racism. in the early 600s BC

>Corruption was fine
Holy fucking shit no. Infinite Stars alone almost killed the game

>You could drop ~10k on a corruption and then next week get a better piece and you just wasted 10k echos
10k was near the max cost of the tier 3 corruptions. You also don't have to apply a max level corruption to a sub par piece, that's just your retarded decision to not put it into a bis piece if you did that.
Arguably the system was much better until the vendor got implemented as it was just a random affix that made gear more interesting. I don't know what the hate about RNG is for though. That's literally a cornerstone of what an RPG is.

pvp minigames 2 days after 8.3 before the nerfs don't count

>corruptions
>need to farm weeks worth of corruptions to be viable for both mythics and raids
Sure seems fun

i can't play both games?

>top DPS in 8.2
>shitter gets infinite stars on his weapon in 8.3
>suddenly he does 10x the damage while still being a braindead retard
yeah bro, corruptions were so balanced

assblased XIVfags probably make these threads they are so seething and mad their game didn't kill WOW even 7 years later

Not even just the fact it was on PVP which was inexplicable. A good assortment of corruptions gives a significant DPS boost. 20% or higher

Fuck yourself Blizzchang shill. World of Warcraft Classic-Cata look was great. The disgusting nu-Pixar model look is absolutely atrocious and so seperate from Warcraft that it might as well be some cringe South Korean cartoon MMO.

WoW will never die, after all addicts wont stop their addiction.
I`d even say that its good that way, since WoWfags wont ruin other mmos that way

this is literally true with a first weapon drop or trinket drop too
your arguments make no sense

cringe

>original kara and BRD
>basically sprawling 5 man zones full of atmosphere
absolutely wonderful
>dungeons are just linear corridors now
absolutely disgusting

No it's not. A weapon or trinket will not carry a shitter like stacked corruptions would.

10 times as much damage? yeah no

She's a racist diversity hire, so i highly doubt it.

>represents everything great about WoW
You are aware that people loved Karazhan because it was very first raid for many people, right?

>>dungeons are just linear corridors now
I fucking wish. Fuck M+ trying to turn the game into an esport
>t.ank

In the mildest terms, she impersonates unfairness, it's "me, me, me".

Kinda untrue. Nu-pixarshit, Zootopia dogshit looking artstyle of current day WOW this post applies. However for Classic, Burning Crusade, WotLK etc was a very good and mature artstyle.

Blizzard are getting grifted hard by that nigger. Which I don't have a problem with really since they deserve everything coming to them.

It's totally lack of historical basis, has she ever read anything have she read anything about indians or africans warring for millenia, but that doesn't count, since it's only ethnic/tribal war, not racial.

Yes it will. Even in Classic a weapon drop will be an even larger % increase than in retail. People are carried by gear in MMO's what a shocker.

>However for Classic, Burning Crusade, WotLK etc was a very good and mature artstyle
Is that a joke?
People mocked wow for being cartoonish shit since vanilla

A single weapon drop will not multiply your damage by 10 unless you're raiding with a common weapon with no stats

well they ARE linear, its just linear with also needing to play hopscotch with monster packs which is fucking awful and boring. then theres some season specific modifier that confuses the whole mess.

You are aware that Kara is one of a precious few raids that isn't copy-pasted corridors, but is hand-crafted beginning to end?

WoW will never return to greatness so long as there is no 10 man. Its the one greatest change Blizzard could do to make people happy yet they refuse to reintroduce it.

Attached: dissapointed.jpg (889x855, 70.4K)

>fascinating places to explore with all sorts of secrets and nooks and crannies
not how it works anymore. People will just wait for the discord autists to crack it all then follow a wowhead guide. There are better things to put effort in like designing new zones but nah lets add world quests to this old zone and call it content while trying to figure out how to fuck everyone who isnt a pure dps class over

How does that change the fact that it was a solid raid instance and fun? Blizzard chased that idea for years after trying to make 10 man raids a thing.but never figured out why people liked Kara and ZA

looks comfy

When exactly? I don't remember ever hearing about anyone having a problem with the vanilla models.

>why dont they fucking get it

Ever since they got acquired by Activision systems in the game are steered toward quarterly engagement metrics. Why do you think corruptions are on 30+ day rotation (and initially completely rng)? It's so they can guarantee players will be rolling the dice for a predictable amount of time until the next patch hits.

Normal and Heroic are both flex now and start at 10. It's been possible to do small-scale raiding for multiple expansions now.

I've done every single raid in WoW since Molten Core (mostly while they were still relevant) and Karazhan remains my favorite. The only other raid to come close to its open ended design and secrets is Ulduar.

Because the game stopped trying to be an RPG with random elements years ago until they added war/titanforging and corruption, which is just the game deciding you have this extra boost in power for no reason other than luck. The playerbase has stopped wanting luck to be THE determining factor of their final power. And having items that suddenly deal tons more damage than any of your base abilities could ever hope to achieve is so fucking stupid.

esports is cancer and WoW raiding has turned into capeshit stories and zoomzoom speed running autism
No room for compelling characters, no room for sprawling dungeons filled with soul, only corridors and EPIC SPECTACLES

under 10% of players actually ever raided. Waste of time.

>How does that change the fact that it was a solid raid instance and fun
Most of raids are fun, except wotlk ones and legion-bfa ones
> why people liked Kara and ZA
Never saw a single person who liked za on the same level as they liked baby first raids like ulduar and kara. Mostly because za actually was tuned to rape unprepared raids.
>I don't remember ever hearing about anyone having a problem with the vanilla models.
I really hope you are joking...

I've said it in the past and I'll continue to say it. Blizzard needs to stop with the new gimmicky player power systems and stop making every boss fight a 99 phase rainbow laser color explosion

just make a shit load of simple fights, with a couple complex fights thrown in, instead of working on balancing the retarded new systems they could be shitting out new raid after raid after raid

What the fuck are you talking about? Even at its height before the swift nerf infinite stars at most doubled your parse. Also it doesn't fucking matter. It's an rpg and weapons and gear give powerups and that is fundamental. You're arguing about percentages which can easily be changed on the fly. A weapon drop in classic will also easily double your parse.

Think they're talking about mythic difficulty being a "20 people or fuck off" approach

Oh sweet, I can't wait to play on braindead difficulties that offer zero challenge
You know Ulduar wasn't the first raid tier, right?

Yeah i know how the game works now with flex. The idea it started with Kara and was shoehorned through out many expansions until flex took over the raid scene isnt lost on me. Mostly it was because balance was never working and the 25 man raid scene was dieing out for 10 man.

What does flex 10 mans (2/3/9 and 2/4/14 is better btw) have to do with all the niche content and secrets bullshit and balancing things that will be obsolete in the next patch?

Why did autists hate titanforging? It was fine, it was great to get high ilvl item when you were expecting less. Sure it sucked when you got really high ilvl item what you didn't need, but modern WoW already showers you with tons of gear that it didn't really matter. Who cares if some lfr babby got a high ilvl item, you could get ones too if you played a lot, and high end autists play the game all the time already

You're honestly retarded if you think a single weapon drop in Classic is enough to double your parse unless you're buying a boost for your fresh 60
