I literally had one channel playing nonstop, just to avoid the other channels.

>Implying that Pop music would stop existing within a cyberpunk society
>Implying Pop music wouldn't be some garbage """melancholic""" semi-electronic alt-pop
Just because the world is cyberpunk doesn't mean everyone is transformed in to autists with the same niche taste in music, Billie Eilish sucks fucking ass and 2077 is going to be garbage but the music choice fits.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

by 2077 you can just ask your PC to make pop music for you
it's not like pop music already follows a formula meant to make it as catchy as possible

We don't need 10 different Cyberpunk 2077 threads.

>by 2077 you can just ask your PC to make pop music for you
Much like electric cars and the auto/oil industry, the music industry will file so many patents that you would have to pay fees for music you create digitally.

What music should be playing then? And no, it has to have lyrics. No orchestrated or instrumental osts thats cringe.

>first music artist
Kraftwerk
Other beep-boop too

All launch trailers or whatever do this shit though. Look at the Doom Eternal one.
All things considered the thing I'm least worried about is the worldbuilding and such.
It looks like they've put a lot of thought into every area, gang, tech, culture, etc. The talk shows look awful, as it should be.
What I'm actually worried about is if my choices are going to matter or not, and how it's going to affect the world around me. And how much I can actually roleplay.

>first music artist that comes to mind when i hear the word "Cyberpunk"
Perturbator

Also whenever I hear "bad guy" my head turns it into gachi remix
Same with m83 midnight city or something

Help

The 80s channel was really good, also the 90s hip hop one as well.

Powerglove

Mirror Park was basically the games canonical soundtrack though. Everything else was just filler

Philip Glass

You didn't say it would have to be fitting

Really they should have used unknown artists to make the music

The fuck, man?!

Apparently he produced some tracks for them but they decided "not to follow up".

>>Forget how horrid the GTAV soundtrack was
I think they made it trash on purpose as a meta commentary

Most of Koyaanisqatsi could work.

>Haha modern music bad so let's make our audience listen to it in our game to show them how bad it is haha genius!

But Billie is like super talented and my fav artist of all time. Can't wait for this game omg.

yep

they could have just hired some random darkie off the street and they would've gotten the same shit

Based. If you didn't post that song I would have done it

When I think of Cyberpunk music, I pretty much think of house, techno and synth-pop

Don't care. I'm still buying Cyberpunk 2077.

It's supposed to be a dystopia, OP. Of course that kind of setting would have garbage zoomer pop music playing everywhere.

Spoiler

Cyberpunk is all about consumerism-induced cultural decadence, garbage like Billie Eilish or kpop are a good fit for such setting.

rather billie eilish than some cringe synthwave meme music from 5 years ago

This. Cyberpunk 2077's TV spot was specifically for American audiences and those always have either safe mainstream pop or nigger-rap because that's what appeals to Americans.

i hate nigger music

I don't understand these threads. What exactly do you want them to do? Get period appropriate music from the future?

>implying china wont be in charge by then
>implying china will ever take notice of a patent
can we bring back green text >implying?

who's Billie Eilish

a cu day pop star

I try as hard as I can to avoid modern pop music. So I'll probably avoid this game.

Like Billy Talent but worse.

They can both be trash, dude.

they don't want things, they just want to complain, any topic will do

totally unique individual

a titcow that mumbles songs for millions

They literally composed music for this game, they could've just used one of them.
