Because a portion of them moved to PC in the 2010s once PC gaming had a low enough barrier to entry, and they started a bunch of master-race shit to look down on their former colleagues. PC gaming was ruined forever by buildbros and "my box to play games on is OBJECTIVELY BETTER than yours" types, because these people can't just shut the fuck up and play video games. Actually, I think nu-PC Players jumped on the PC because of TotalBiscuit and other e-celebs like Zero Punctuation when they were at the height of their 'careers'. Before them, the milennials didn't know about PC platform or only played newgrounds games.
Nu-PCfags now say they have been players since the DOS era even though they just get their 'knowledge' from Ssseth and now Civie11, maybe LGR if their brains have enough capacity to pay attention for 5 minutes without a meme.
Now suddenly everyone loves Thief and Gothic and Heroes of Might and Magic and shit, even though suspiciously nobody even knew the names of these games before 2010.
