Yes. There's so much shit that interrupts shooting it's insane and it feels revolting to pilot him in these games.
This is how a typical fight goes down:
>Fire 3 shots
>Now wait for glory kill animation number 2 to finish (you've seen this same animation sixteen times this level so far.)
>Fire 4 shots
>Wait for monkey-bar animation to finish.
>Wait for glory kill animation number 6 to finish.
>Fire 6 shots
>Wait for chainsaw animation to finish for ammo
>Wait, can't kill them yet better flamethrower for plates too.
>Finally fire another bullet etc.
To emulate playing this game start up DOOM and use a hit stop that freezes your game every time you shoot an enemy for a second or two and you'll have a similiar experience.
They even included a fucking power-up that reduced glory kill time and it still was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too fucking long.
The remakes are a waiting game, and calling the electric wub wub metal is a fucking crime.

Glory kills are 100% optional.

I hated it, couldn't bear to play Doom 2016 for more than a couple of hours. The shotgun is piss weak, you can only hold a handful of shells, instead of having more enemies on Ultra Violence a single Imp fireball takes most of your health away.

Good news bro, the DLC campaign has all upgrades unlocked right from the start and all levels are balanced around that fact. If you're looking for levels to just jump into and bang out then launch up that DLC campaign and get going.
