i want to buy silent hill 2 on ps2, but for some reason this last year the value of used copies jumped up to $60. literally why? they were all $20 in 2017. now the market value is $60? even more if you want the case and the manual too.

Played through SH1 a few weeks ago, genuinely bretty spooky, surprised at how well it held up visually.
Watched the ‘06 movie too, was surprised how faithful it was minus protag gender flip, Pyramid Head for some reason and the cult. Heard the director wants to revisit the property soon, and he’s working on a Fatal Frame film now

That would be a bit of a spoiler.
The missing hauntings were activated by some guy (they were unused but also were in the data in the pc version) and he uploaded a save with all of them activated, in the save file 23:

Why hasn't SH2 been released for PS3 or PS4 yet like the GTA games were? I have SH1 on the PS3 from buying it online but don't know what I'll do when I beat it and move on to SH2.

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
DON'T use W10's own virtual disc app! It will not work.
Don't install under C:\Program Files\ ! This will cause issues.
The "Enhanced .EXE" is also the no-CD crack!
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate using ePSXe or PCSX-R.
Follow the SH2 widescreen fix site's instructions to the T, and you should be fine.
For 3 & 4, check the Guide.

-Play in the release order.
-Never play below Normal difficulty! Especially in case of #2!
-Replaying them all is recommended; tons of replay value.
-Turn down the ingame Brightness setting, for better gamma & colors!
-Don't try to kill everything that moves, especially outdoors. Leg it, or sneak!
-Turning OFF the flashlight can really help w/ stealth!

the PC ports offer an "easier" way to play them with HD graphics, other than that the emulated games may suffice.
