By fucking who, retards? Skyward Sword is the last good 3D Zelda game. Combat is the best it ever was, the overworld had actual puzzles and genuine level design, and the dungeons were the best in the series since Ocarina of Time. I've had much more fun with it than Breath of the Wild or Wind Waker.

Regardless of your enjoyment of Skyward Sword it's still an incredibly divisive and controversial game. A lot of people do not like it, and for good reason.

This is my favourite zelda game, and my first game was OoT.

I absolutely love this game. And desu, I thought we would have reached the year or age where this was now considered nostalgic and there'd be a lot more people defending it.

Zig Forums and most places still hate it entirely.

I love the setting and atmosphere.
I love the Great Sky, because skies arent meant to be full of nic-naks and collectables. They are vast empty spaces and always have been. People whove wanted to glide on a bird through the skies, have wanting nothing more to taste clouds and glide on a visage of nothing but bright blue and white for eternity.
I love Skyloft. It is completely packed with stuff to do, and I really love all the villagers. I can remember each one. Even now, I feel its still hiding secrets, as I only recently found out about the secret kitten garden near the statue.
There is so much genuine growth and you can feel it. Shields breaking felt intense if you didnt parry correctly.

And boi, I FUCKIN LOVED HAND-TO-HAND sword control. It was the dream of the wii.
Use. The. WII MOTE. as. a. SWORD.

And they gave it. This game was the dream for any zelda fans waiting for the new zelda on the wii.

I just don't understand. I bought the nice Golden Zelda remote that they gave with the game.
And it worked fantastic. I never complained, if it was off-centre, I just placed it on the table for it to recalibrate, and jumped back in to play.

I dunno, maybe because I adored this wonderful game, and the game did make it clear youd need to recalibrate it, if the wiimote wasnt reflecting the input you wanted.

I think everyone who complained, are just terrible complainers in real life as well.

I enjoyed it a lot when I played it, It has good characters and great environments and music. But the excessive hand holding and some encounters having to be repeated 3+ times kills any desire to replay it. I'll always recommend playing it at least once if you can use the motion controls but I completely understand peoples gripes about it.

I had fun with Skyward Sword the first time I played it but ultimately replaying it there are handheld Zelda games with more worthwhile content, the gameplay is clunky and not fun, Fi is annoying, the side content is not worthwhile or interesting, and the upgrade system just feels like padding. It's the only Zelda I do not have any interest in replaying again.

the game did extremely well critically, it's only a bunch of assholes on internet forums who hate the game. Financially I feel like it probably did worse than the other Zeldas because the Wii was a dead console by that point and it required the Motion Plus, so only hardcore Zelda fans bothered buying it.
