I could see zinogre, narga, and bulldrome being in because it just makes sense but why would you think the fated 4 are in

mizu has a huge fucking jap aesthetic (and is also really fucking popular in japan) and ichinose never leaves his flagships out so at the very least glavenus and mizu would be in
plus they fixed leviathan skeleton a bit so maybe they could add him

Mizu is near inarguably in, and since Glav is already retouched for the new art style, I think it'd be surprising if we don't get the other two

I would love the team to take another crack at Nakarkos. Its such a neat idea but it really needed another do over. Even fucking Kulve Taroth is a better fight.

I'm kinda of thinking we might see Malfestio, but the only reason I think that is that the owl that the village leader gets a message from in the trailer makes me think of a baby malfestio.

Both of the cinematic trailers show off a new Spider based on a specific yokai that's a spider that shoots fire and stuff. We get a shot of it extending its neck and being decked out in these small white spiders on its body, so it's not Nerscylla.

Impossible. World, like Tri, was a big visual update that added additional sweeping changes to the formula and had large numbers of new monsters (Tri introduced 15 brand new monsters, base World introduced a little more than that) which lead to low overall monster counts.

Rise can build off of World's roster and we've already seen them play around with skeletons that World never touched in it.

MH4 was delayed a year in the first place because they revealed the game too early to get people to ditch the Vita. MH4 was revealed late 2013 and only came out in late 2015.

When there's a new weapon, the put it in the reveal trailer. IIRC one of the first things shown about Tri was SwAxe, same with IG & CB for MH4. Gen & World had no new weapons, instead adding mechanics and moves to the existing ones, and it seems Rise will be the same what with keeping World's movesets and adding Wirebugs.

The only skeleton in rise trailer that world doesn't have is the spider.

Tetranodon seems like a weird mix of Amphibian and the modified Leviathan skeleton that Jagras/Girros/Dodogama use. He basically has three different stances (quadruped, biped, engorged biped) so he might be special. Either way he's really cool, I love the Sumo Kappa thing.

Regardless of who's back, I just want unique weapons and cool armour again. I'm playing MHGU for the first time after playing World for so long and holy shit! Every monster has a unique weapon that looks like it was actually made out of that monster! No more "iron sword with monster hide draped over it"!

Speaking of MHGU, I'm enjoying it way more than World. Why does World suck so much?
