Super Mario Party would have been perfectly fine had they offered content updates. Literally every other Nintendo game released around the same time got either free or paid updates over the course of a year or two. If Nintendo can add characters to a fucking Tennis game, I think adding an extra board every four or five months to Mario Party would be doable.
The real question is, how the fuck has NO ONE made a game in the same vein as Mario Party? There are board game video games (100% OJ, for instance) and mini-game focused games (Move or Die, etc.), but nothing that plays like Mario Party. It should be so fucking easy, but looking back on disasters like Sonic Shuffle and Pac-Man Fever clearly shows that only Hudson had the fucking competency to make it fun.

I never played SMP but the little gameplay of the minigames i saw looked pretty decent. It's a shame the boards looked so uninteresting

Do two "Mario Party All Stars" collections, with the first being MP1-4 and the second being MP5-8. Online play. Change the rotating control stick stuff in MP1 to be alternate A/B pressing instead. Widescreen in all games.

Top 100 with actual boards from previous games that work exactly like they did originally (including items, board events, etc.) would be 100/10 game of the year all years. just leave out Mario Party 4 boards, those are all kinda gay.

I think it would be 1-3 and 4-8 as the gamecube era is vastly different from n64 era. At least from a consumer stand point
