Just played for the first time because I didn't know a wiiu emulator has existed for years . I beat it in 30 hours and I wonder why did zoomers lose their minds over this?

Looking up more info after I beat it I learned you can just beat the game at the start if you cook some shit for 20 hearts and grab the end games weapons in hyrule castle. The ending was extremely unsatisfying too. It didn't feel like a zelda game, more like another soulless assassins creed open world game. So Zig Forums why do zoomers think this was the best game of the last decade?

The game is overrated, but you obviously played it the wrong way and that should be obvious to yourself as well. It takes at least 100 hours to beat the game if you do even just the broad strokes of the content in it. You just rushed from quest marker to quest marker and missed most of the experience, including most of the story which you obviously didn't do.

How is it satisfying to do generic side content to powerup when you are perfectly capable of continuing the story as you are now? It's just time-padding filler
The whole point is the freedom, you can beat ganon or explore, or do the quest, whatever you want, is supposed to recreate the feeling you get from the first zelda. I feel they do superficially, all the overworld and physics are really well done, but the samey dungeons (both visually and content wise) are really bad.
The game is meant to be enjoyed by every Switch user. Casuals can wander around picking apples. Hardcore players can play Master Mode. Speedrunners can just BTB straight for the castle.
