Update the textures and this game has aged extremely well.
Marvelous: another treasure island

Mario 64 rom hacks, might replay Metroid Prime Trilogy with Primehack
Pretty much. Just emulate Galaxy with a real Wiimote and replace the old textures with the 3D All-Stars ones and it's the definitive way to experience the game.
paper mario on virtual console
i would be emulating it but i hate the minor graphical glitches that paper mario seems to give emulators
i also dont like how the virtual console one has some graphical glitches still i wish i never sold my copy
>Resident Evil Outbreak revival servers whenever I get the lads together
>the lotcheck version of X (this game actually pretty alright) on MiSTer
>100%ed 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy (as Mario only) on 3D All-Stars, will try and beat Galaxy with Luigi another time. Also beat Mario's section of Mario's Super Picross on SNES:NSO
there is something that has been bugging me. how exactly do you emulate the sensor bar. I mean, is it even possible or how does it work?
the sensor bar is extremely low tech unironically
its just a IR sensor
most people just use a off the shelf blue tooth one that cost like 8 dollars
Assuming you have a Wiimote the only thing it needs is two infrared light sources. You could have two candles lit above/below your TV and still produce the same effect as a sensor bar.
got mario galaxy ready to emulate, I just need to fix the keys and I will be set
>its just a IR sensor
it's not even that, it's just a couple ir leds, the actual sensor is in the wiimote
fire emblem 6, fates
Currently Silent Hill 3.
Only real problem I've noticed is that the status screen frequently glitches out, but it's only the actual "status" part of it.
My first experience with Paper Mario 64 was on Wii Virtual Console and even then I could notice stuff like how it lagged a lot in Toad Town. Eventually I just bought the original cartridge online since I replay the game a lot.
Super Mario Sunshine. Currently on 10 shine sprites right now. Does the game get better? I'm having a blast but juist want to know.
Some levels are better than others, it's not a gradual drop in quality or anything, my favorite level is one of the last you unlock.
If you're going for 100% I honestly will not blame you for using a guide to get all of the blue coins.
That depends on if you're either good yet, or willing to dick around outside of missions for the fun of it
Why even emulate Nintendo games? It will never feel the same as the original hardware.
Emulating BOTW again.
2-3 years since I last emulated it so I've forgotten a lot of the puzzles. It's fun
Other than that I emulate P4Ultimax whenever I need to kill some time.
Thank you. I'm trying to go for all shine sprites. Do I need all blue coins for that?
Shit at the game but I dick around a lot. Like to explore the map and see whats new. Feels nice
Yep, blue coins are used to buy shine sprites. There's no in-game way to keep track of how many are in a level, and some of them are but in some pretty bullshit places.
There's no reward for getting all of the shine sprites, which is actually weird for a 3d Mario game.
Crystal Chronicles with some bros, we play 3-4 hours every Saturday
You can see how many blue coins you have in each level by pressing Z. There's 30 in each main level, 20 in Delfino Plaza, and 10 in Corona Mountain.
I've owned pretty much every nintendo console except for NES, SNES, and Switch and I can say with certainty that you are full of shit
>2020
>Still playing N64
>No everdrive yet
Luigi's Mansion
Playing through the classic Tomb Raider games for the first time. I'm really enjoying TR3, I've read everywhere that it was shit but so far it's the first time I'm having fun with these games and genuinely enjoying myself. I think it's the diversity and gameplay improvements but maybe it's because by now I'm used to the controls.
