It could have been random, create your own, or pick which main character fits your Mii the most. I think it's stupid they are the only characters that can't be used in classic mode.
Miis should have a classic mode in Smash Bros Ultimate
Miis shouldn’t be in the game at all. Waste of space and development time.
True

They're a fun way to fuck around with friends when making yourselves as fighters or even weird mugen-lite abominations
Miitopia and Tomodachi life were great games and Miis deserve more slots for those games.
>waste of time
>shouldnt be in the game
actually fuck you, because you'd probably prefer them waste more time on something fucking boring and retarded like balancing
they should've EXPANDED on the miis and fucking gave them like 3x the amount of moves to pick from
>Mii Brawler fighting other hand to hand fighters
>Mii Swordfighter fighting other weapon users
>Mii Gunner fighting other ranged characters
It writes itself
they are fun and like the other user said they shouldve made more moves for them
Miis were pretty underimplemented in general. It's dumb how you can't random them in fights, but the demo will play with random Miis. It's dumb how when you fight them in multi-man it's just the heads. It's dumb how they locked their size in Ultimate, but they're still not average human proportions. In general, I really like Miis, I just wish they were a bigger part of the game.
I don't get why character creation is popular in most fighting games, but people hate Miis. Is it just the heads?
The bomberman mii costume is great. It has 12 skins.
It’s seeing a Mii costume of a character you wanted. Unless it’s a premium costume with effort put into it/a mask, the face ruins it.
It has all 12 colors and not just the regular 8?
The problem with Miis is that instead of having nice customization options to let you truly put any person or character you want into Smash, they're just a dumping ground for pity costumes
Why did they remove custom moves on Ultimate? That was one of the main reasons I held back on buying it.
yup
No one used them. Unlocking them was a pain and they couldn't be used in regular online play. The DLC characters didn't have any. It was just a dumb concept all around that wouldn't add anything to Ultimate. Same with equipment.
Shit, I haven't played Smash in a while but I might just so I can be the orange bomber.
Miis really needed more generic costume options instead of specific character costumes. It’s nice to see so many characters get shouted out in that way, but these outfits are often quite limiting compared to more basic options. They even removed a bunch of the generic outfits and hats from Smash 4 for some reason.
I'm still unlocking custom moves, yes it was stupid that they were locked randomly, but some were pretty cool like the Megaman attacks.
No one used them except maybe if they were better than the other move, and if you did use them you were most likely playing with the cheating stats gimmick because there was no inbetween.
I wish they had better moves.
>played Mii swordfighter in plate mail and Mii gunner in wizard robes
>the only knight armor that isn't the Black Knight is DLC
>there are no more wizard robes
prolly leftover saltiness towards the wii/wiiu, miis remind them of "nintendo's big heinous betrayal"
it's absolutely the heads
why do you think everyone went crazy over the sans costume
if it had looked like this, barely anyone would give a shit
that mii girl looks pretty cute
>Be Nintendo fan
>own all consoles of all companies also PC
>enjoy the hell out of the GC
>Revolution ad comes out
>spergs start bitching about muh casualization
>Wii comes out
>lose my virginity the same day I buy the console
>experience one of the most fun experimental games in quite a while
>meanwhile retards keep bitching
if they didn't need to be unlocked (and then unlocked AGAIN when you moved from the 3ds to the wii u version) things would've been so much better, custom moves never should've been tied to the equipment system
i think what really needs to improve is the mii editor to give more eye options more hair colors and hair styles we had pretty much the same thing since the wii
actually each gen following has been a decent step up, wii u and 3ds gave us v2 of miis with a lot more facial features and more freeform scaling, switch gave us v3 with stuff like complete freedom to pick hair/eye color rather than just natural tones
i'm convinced people refused to buy the wiiu simply because they WANTED to see nintendo fail after the wii succeeded despite their dearest hopes
Have you seen the options on Switch? We have twice as many eye shapes (they were actually added back on 3DS/Wii U) and the Switch went from 8 hair colors to fucking 100
>Ultimate should have some fucking content
Yes
Fucking pathetic they don't even have Break the Targets
I mean technically smash 4 didn't either, at least not as a full mode
you had target blast as its replacement and there was a targets minigame on 3ds's smash run at least
but yeah ultimate has the most anemic stadium content since ssb64, actually i'd say even ssb64's stadium was better than ultimate's and literally all we had back then was btt/btp
now we just have home run contest and a severely cut down multiman smash (also no real all-star mode either)
