Gacha goes against my moral principles. The mere idea of downloading the game is a direct support of that idea whether you pay for it or not.
Let me put it in simpler terms: Genshin would not exist if nobody paid for the Gacha, meaning that Genshin's success is directly caused by those who pay for the Gacha, meaning that Genshin Impact is a game which pushes for Gacha models, which means that the company making Genshin supports the idea of people using the Gacha system which is directly responsible for IRL gambling addictions.
Had Genshin been a full price game, I would have seen no wrong as it would have shown that the company had enough faith in their game to release it at a fixed price, but by going for the "f2p" model with optional Gacha, it shows that the entire point of this game's existence is to make the biggest bank regardless of moral responsibility.
This is simply a model of developing that I want to see dissapear altogether. I don't even want to play games made for that purpose and if that is where gaming is moving, then I'll opt out.
