Why is this considered the greatest game of all time when MM and WW have better dungeons and overall gameplay?
Why is this considered the greatest game of all time when MM and WW have better dungeons and overall gameplay?
Because it came out first
MM feels like a downgrade in comparision
>MM
yes
>WW
has the worst dungeons in the series
Mega Man Legends was better too, and that came out before it. Better combat, better characters, a massive interconnected dungeon, better story, good voice acting, and a better artstyle. Weird.
>mm had better dungeons
lul wut
Because the OoT fanbase is a cult.
Because MM had the shitty time system and WW had the shitty art style.
EVERY single 3d Zelda and Mario suck ass.
Kill yourself fucking retard with shit taste.
He's right, the dungeons in OoT are all surface level trash. MM actually has some good puzzles and uses that third dimension in interesting ways. The dungeons in MM are like a huge 3D puzzlebox, the only dungeon in OoT that even attempts to do this is the water temple.
it blew millennial children's tiny minds so now we have to live with them calling it the greatest thing ever forever
I'm certain generation alpha will do the same with botw
OoT was accepted as the greatest game of all time as a sort of compliance check in gaming culture. In the same way religion functions in society. As long as you comply to the cult's demand that you accept OoT as your lord and savior you can talk about video games on the internet. Questioning that dogma is akin to heresy and will be met with harsh treatment and potentially expulsion/banishment from the group. So most just comply and never question it, they just accept the dogma and spout it wherever they are challenged.
Mega Man Legends is overrated. If it didn't have its artstyle people wouldn't praise it at all.
>WW
Worst dungeons in the series
>MM
Has only 3 good dungeons
>WW has better dungeons and overall gameplay
Nigger are you serious?
That looks absolute dogshit from that webm alone.
It codified everything and some backtracking aside it's still solid, just not all that unique. It's "best game" more for what it brought to the series than what it is, but when every single Zelda game that followed in the 3D space is polarizing, it makes it stable if plain by comparison.
I may love Legends, but Legends combat fucking sucked.
You could maybe argue that MM has better dungeon, but in what world does WW have dungeons that even come close?
I have never seen a single person under the age of 20 that loved BotW. Generation Alpha is completely indifferent to any video game that isn't Fortnite, Fallguys, Among Us.
Well, I have. They love that shit.
>mm has better dungeons
debatable, but there's only 4. the sidequests are the main game content, and while they're great, they're not as good as the narrative in oot.
>ww
obvious bait, webm related is literally in the final dungeon.
It's okay to admit you got filtered by combat that isn't braindead like OoT, I won't judge you.
But to be fair, that webm has been debunked.
>mega man legends
>combat not braindead
You posted the literal peak of the game's combat. Every other encounter is even simpler since no other enemies are as aggressive as those guys that lunge at you. Every other encounter is stand out of range and hold fire button while the game aims for you.
>combat that isn't braindead
>Literally just press square and R2, occasionally jump.
I was Class S in 2, bud. Most of the combat challenge evaporated if you just circle strafed everything, the problem mostly being that 1 was tank controls with D-pad movement and the lock-on was only for isolated cases like assholes on the ceiling since it rooted you in place. Meanwhile 2 streamlined the controls so much and fixed the lock-on to the point that circle strafing became even easier. The only reason anything is really difficult is by certain objectives or extremely wide boss attacks.
>half of the time spent in combat is slowly turning the camera
>enemy gets close? side jump always works!
z-targeting was a huge innovation and legends combat objectively had less depth.
I've never seen it, hell generation alpha doesn't even care about minecraft like generation Z did. The only games that I've seen resonate with them are the big memed ones, Fortnite/Fall Guys/Among Us. It used to exclusively be Fortnite but now they have a Triumvirate they bounce between.
have you played the game you stupid fucking zoomer?
Yeah, it was my first Zelda.
Which is massively more depth than anything in any Zelda game. Lock on, hit with sword until it's dead. Couldn't be more braindead. Meanwhile in MML you've actually got to dodge and learn enemy movements. It requires skill something you don't need with Zelda. Again it's okay, I get it, the game was too hard for you and you got filtered. You were young and weren't ready for actual good games yet.
Ocarina of Time used to be universally considered the best game ever until people like you decided to trash it for no reason.
I like the passive aggressive attitude. Very feminine.
MM and WW absolutely do not have better dungeons.
