I play on pubs regularly and usually have a fun experience. Most of the playerbase is decently skilled and bots haven't been a huge issue in my exprience, either they get kicked immediately or theres a party of bots, in which case you just find a new server. It's annoying for sure but ultimately adds up to only like 5 minutes of dealing with bots per hour or two (again, in my experience at least)

The problem with BG2 is I’ve beaten it so many times I’ve seen everything and done everything, what once blew my mind is now expected. So I need to let it fallow for a time, I only play it every few years now, I’ll probably give it and PS:T another run in the late 2020’s.
