>Have children
>realize they don't get the same experience that you havd with games
Imagine waking up on Christmas, opening this up, and then by 10 am plugging in a tiny space heater with your blankets in the basement where the cable router is so you can experience THIS for the first time ever.

>having children
think you got the wrong place pal
maybe your children will have a better experience? why would you want them to just experience the same things as you ?
>have child
>woman goes batshit insane a few months later
why? I signed up for a baby, not a crazy person.
Literally tells me I do nothing. I pay every bill, work two full-time jobs, come home and take over taking care of my son unless he has to feed because I don't have tits. Then tells her family that I don't do anything. I literally do everything besides the breastfeeding. If I could I would and I'd kick her to the curb.
Different =/= bad
Children born now will reminisce about playing games online with their whole class from school. They will have nostalgic memories of Minecraft or Fall Guys, or whatever else is popular with kids now. I don't deny that there have been some changes to the landscape of gaming that were for the worse over the past 2 decades, but given that old games still exist and are easier than ever to download and emulate, I think kids now will probably have an objectively better video game experience than we ever had.
>Having kids with a crazy chick
You blew it. Can't imagine life being anything but downhill from there
except the children have it worse by default without even me having to provide a real point
because the games they'll be nostalgic about they will never be able to replay because they're linked to a online server which will be shut down and will never be open again
>rotting your brain with asian garbage
Sure, not PSO specifically but why can't they have a similar experience?
because it don't exist today only game that come closes to that experience is minecraft pre adventure update
I guess I just wasn't made for these times.
Two points:
1. Its highly likely that popular games will be supported for decades to come. Even if the servers are closed down it is possible that fans will create their own servers. If that didn't happen, it would be likely that devs would bring back the games to make bank on nostalgia.
2. In some ways, isn't it good to leave some nostalgic things in your memories? I know from experience that replaying some of the games from my childhood has been pretty disappointing and tarnished the magic that I felt as a kid.
>because the games they'll be nostalgic about they will never be able to replay
Isn't that the case for OP as well? That's the whole reason he's complaining - because his kid can't play the same game he grew up with.
She wasn't crazy, just a little dumb, but that's ok. Now she's dumb and crazy. Like tonight she started saying she thought I was seeing someone else because I don't get intimate with her. I'm like "You haven't wanted anything for a year because you were pregnant and I stopped trying after the first month when I realized it wasn't going to happen", then that became my fault for not trying for the whole year while I was just being rejected anyways. Makes no sense.
i got a completely different point from his post
being able to replay the games you had as a kid
but also the games today just are shit compared to what they used to be
i know blah blah nostalgia blinding you
but i can go to games i never touched from the past and still enjoy them more than any new game today
I've never really had my memories "tarnished". All the games are still excellent. Not once have I gone back to a child/teen defining game for me and went "woah bro its all shit now". But apparently this is a common thing.
>more than any new game today
Depends on the games really. I personally share your preference for older games (don't like a lot of the new gameplay trends), but there are still plenty of games that come out these days that interest me. I could like dozens of dogshit games from the past, so it's not really that clear cut.
it's not even a real thing
it's just people getting used to games being dumbed down/QOL'D that they forget what games used to be actually like and just have memories of what it was like rather than what it was
to be fair there are a decent chunk of bad games but even then games that used to be considered below average i have more fun with than the games everyone today talks about
>I hate star wars, and nintendo and back to the future, because my stinky dad liked it and he's a jerk!
Yikes.
Flash games are dead, this happened to YOU
this comic reeks of millennials and i do not like it what so ever
wrong i can replay them anytime i want
archives exist plus flash players are still a thing
and there are even some of the games on steam
>have child
>raise them so other people can fuck them years later
>xoomer: oh no these kids won't play games like pong and frogger
>soilennials: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ZOOMERS WON'T PLAY MY HECKIN GOOD BOYERINO NES GAMES AND WHOLESOME 100 DREAMCAST GAMES
Do you actually care about meaningless bullshit like this? Fucking hell, nostalgia should be classified as a mental disorder.
Huh? When I was a kid I could take my phone line and plug it into my console and have fun. That's it.
I didn't even play this game and got transported to a world of soul and comfy.
Also keep in mind, this was the activiation screen for dreamcast, before my OP video
