It's a retarded reaction to the shield. Shield hard countered skeletons, so they decided to buff them with faster,more accurate shots and better A.I. problem is that they still do nothing ageins a shield, but are a nightmare without it

You could go to the nether and explore there, it’s really up to you. Going to the nether lets you go to the end as well so if you want to do that then you need to go there.

Oh wait I forgot unless you do the lava method of making a nether portal you need diamonds.

How the fuck you getting filtered by skeletons? They're easy as fuck to avoid in the overworld. Worse case scenario slap on a shield, which is easy as piss to aquire, and suddenly they are literally a non threat.

They had been fuffed way before shields were added. They used to have the problem that once the player got in melee range, skeletons would just not shoot, and were completely helpless. While fixing this issue, they have also been over-buffed. Shields were added like one year later.
