Nobody wanted to develop for it after what happened with the PSP. PSP sales were good but game sales were atrocious due to everyone who owned one modding them to get free games. Tbh if it wasn’t for the modding most people wouldn’t have been exposed to most of the PSP library. One could argue that pirating is what led games like monster hunter to grow as much as they have today. Nobody wants to pay 60$ for a mobile game. And nobody wants to develop a game that they would have to sell for pennies. The switch did it right by making it portable but removing the lone between mobile and console. That’s the reason the switch hardware is trash tho. Because they had to meet at a middle ground and couldn’t give up battery life and such for better hardware

Thats bullshit. Owning a psp and a vita since release i know that they have the biggest game librarys of all consoles.
Both consoles are just marketet very poorly so whenever i talk with someone about the psp they most times dont even know that all the games exists since they never heard of them.
For the vita they dont even know that its a standalone console

I liked my Vita too. Shame they just didn't give a fuck about it.

Vita is still better simply because the controls don't drift every week and it doesn't need paid subscription to play online.
Also remote play + homebrews + netflix + crunchyroll + overall customizable UI

switch has shit servers, abysmal subscription, no sales, inferior ports and mostly shitty 1st party games. there's a reason why people call it a a port machine even if it's larger library than Vita's
