Start a new world

How do I start playing minecraft again?
I know that I can install mods and get a couple more years of gameplay, but majority of them are for some version that are as old as mammoth's shit.

I liked pre-Survival / Creative split . Build some comfy bases out of a large quarry. Go down to the beach and gather some sand for glass. Then just tunnel and combine all my fortresses while pretending I'm digging out my own Mines of Moria. Very comfy. Fuck the concept of "adventure."

get ambitious to make a build project, then quit halfway through to start a new project, then live with the consequences in a world where nothing is finished and everything looks half asses

Most mods are on at least 1.12 which is what most servers use

"Beat" the game within a few hours, get your elytra and start playing for real. Start a big project, make farms for the resources you require for said project, and suddenly you'll be a hundred hours in with multiple builds all serving their own purpose

Recommend me only THE best 1.12 mods

You now understand why your life is the way it is.

RLcraft

Megaprojects and farms for resources for them. Currently I'm making 1block to 1 pixel scale skeleton out of bone.

>he doesn't build a 1:1 cathedral replica in survival
Low energy

Try quest modpacks.

>but majority of them are for some version that are as old as mammoth's shit
who the fuck would care about features added in newer versions in a heavily modded environment? Especially considering there are mods which backport most of the new stuff?

>I know that I can install mods and get a couple more years of gameplay, but the majority of them are for some version that is old
what? Virtual products don't fucking age you dumbass. If there's an active modding scene for a certain version, who gives a fuck if the version is a couple of years "old"?

I get to the phase where I have sealed off a small cave with a door to go in and out and figure the most pressing danger in the game has been eliminated and there's no incentive to keep going. I can just can keep eating apples to recover hunger and sleep during the night. None of the terrain generated by the game seems interesting. Building just doesn't appeal to me much anymore. Nor does trying to max out my equipment. It's just grinding and not enjoyable like playing a JRPG. I would rather play some hard-as-balls NES game.

shut the fuck up. Stop trying to bait people into playing this garbage.

SOUL

i tried sevtech ages and lost 15 hours to it in three days
that tedious, piecemeal progression gets me good

Realize that minecraft sucks.

then check out TerraFirmaCraft. A good pack with that mod would be Per Fabrica Ad Astra.

Redstone

test

Get elytras, make a mega base with mega farms, trading hall, beacons, redstone, automate everything.

recently started playing it but its pretty bullshit in a way

Yeah, no shit. It uses Lycanite's, what the fuck did you expect?

the skeletons are cunts

Filtered.

Maybe you should update the game, retard.

yeah, you got filtered by GTNH and PFAA and thus started playing RLcrap.

rlcraft is dogshit
