>Sony will optimise the PlayStation 5's internal fan with online updates
How feasible is this?
Do PC driver updates affect how the fans operate?

No, on PC we have to use a knob to control the fan speed.

Yeah it works, the same way you can download more ram.

Haha no wtf fucking Sony

It's usually in the gpu bios but yes this a real thing

even with the dust filter holes they know their users won't clean so why not push the fans harder over time

>first the SSD meme now this
holy shit the gaystation fanbase is borderline brain dead if Sony is making these claims

are you seriously that dense? It's obviously tuned for various system improvements that either increase or decrease the CPU load, which in turn adjusts how much the fan is blowing and when

Is this a good thing that they can improve it over time or a bad thing that they NEED to make improvements and will ship in a less than optimal state ?

The speed of the SSD will ensure that the fan will spin optimal and PS5 will be better cooled then xboxhavesexincel

>WHIIIIIIRRRRRR meme will become real

>How feasible is this?
I am guessing this just means they're going to change the fan curve that is programmed into the console.

/thread

this desu

this is some of the most retarded shit I've ever heard

but fan curve should follow the temps, not what game you're running

>update stops the fan to overheat the PS5 just so you buy a new one to boostsales

There's some truth in this though.
See

>buy new PS5
>try and play a game
>didn't download the right fan drivers
>house burns down

Sony what the fuck are you doing?

Can’t wait for hackers to exploit this and brick a. Million ps5

That's illegal iirc and ground for class action suits.

I'm sure sony has a hidden cache of nanobots that will physically alter the fan after an update.

NOOOOOOOOOOO

>PS5 update 3.0 disable the fan by mistake and kill consoles left and right, have to wait a day for 3.0.1 to fix it
>Retards praise Sony for fixing the bug so fast instead of suing them

let me break this down for you

apu make warm
fan go round
fan take warm away
the more round fan go, the more warm go away
find out how warm apu is
make fan go round correct

>Why my PS5 has stopped working?
>Sony: Nanomachines, son. Buy another.

It's called "software control". Duh.

Yes, all you have to do is adjust the fan curve, takes like 5 seconds. They can even overclock the fucking fan if they really want, it's gonna be much louder though.

>SUPER CHARGED PC
>The CELL
>Snoy SSD
>Updates to a cooling fan
What's next?
The PS5 kill niggers trying to steal the system with a death laser.

WHHHHHHHHHHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

>Forget to update console
>It dies because the fans weren't updated to cope with the dried-out liquid metal paste

>Update console
>Now sounds like a jet engine to compensate for the dried-out liquid metal paste

See Updates are never 100% foolproof.
Bricking becomes overheating.
