Bloodborne

During my second playthrough when I realized there aren't any meaningful sequence breaks and this is just more linear dark souls with a different aesthetic. It is a good game but Zig Forums promised me the second coming of christ and all I got was a game I ended up liking about as much as Dark Souls 3(which I played first because I didn't have a PS4 until late 2018). This game gets its dick sucked so much just because it's an exclusive lol.

Bloodborne was the first souls game i ever enjoyed, but since i went back and gave the older games another chance and eventually got way more into them. At this point i would probably consider demon's and dark souls 1 my favourites, then 3 for the invasions (though its really died down recently)

But now i find it really hard to play bloodborne. I hate how hard it is to invade, i hate how long it takes to make a build, i hate how limited the roleplaying options are, i hate how most builds feel the same to play. I hate that most enemies are either pushovers or arm flailing damage sponges. I even find it way harder to get into the world now. What happened?

God I will never not be pissed at the shilling snoys do for this game, at least I only spent money on the actual game and the PS4 I played it on was given to me. True. But it still is a good game, and I feel like the setting itself elevated it above the dark souls series, since that one got a bit stale.

More like I can't beat Gascoigne and then completely ignore the intended path to the cathedral ward and still meaningfully progress and set up any build I want 30 minutes in. Stuff like being able to do firelink shrine>new londo>valley of the drakes instead of going straight to the undead burg is why Dark Souls 1 is still my favorite and it boggles my mind why From hasn't done it since Dark Souls 2(which has its own sets of problems) and instead decided to only do forks in the path that lead to dead ends in both Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3. This is the kind of thing that has me really excited for Elden Ring since from the little they've talked about it, it seems to be a return to non-linearity.
