I'm really enjoying it but I understand why people wouldn't. If I didn't have so much free time on account of covid,I wouldn't have bothered with it. The first 8-10 hours are really rough and the starting areas are dull.

On paper I should love the game. I probably played it for 6 hours, long enough to learn all the mechanics and what the game was, I just found it so fucking boring. All the characters look the same, all the areas look the same, theres fuckall to do, all my people had afflictions all the time and theres no story to speak of.

Also this. I thought there were a few GREAT ideas, like climbing on monsters SotC style. I really liked some of the elemental spells too, but everything else about it was boring and uninspired.

It's kind of boring until your character starts to not suck ass. All the early game shit is slow low level and tedious.
Once you start to get OP and fight harder monsters the game gets way more fun and you can get even more and more OP.
Especially once you get to lategame.
It's worth getting over the hump for.
