Anyone been playing Teardown? it's like Minecraft meets Hitman. really fun
I saw a guy stream it. Looks fun but perhaps lacking in content a bit.
shut up faggot
angry
>it's like X meets Y
It means it's shitty X, shitty Y and you're lazy shill.
Gimmicky tech demo. Not a game.
ive played it and can confirm its a game
From the videos I saw it seems more fun than I expected, since the game stimulates creative solutions to problems more or less as if the player were trying to optimize the performance in a "real" game.
However the image is rendered in real raytracing and that alone probably requires a 1080ti or better.
I like it. Looking forward to more maps, and the map editor that's allegedly in the works.
Hi shill, it's ok for 5 mins but gets boring very fast.
Rec spec is a 1070 with an i7. I've played it a bit and I really dig the hunting for loot and the destruction/speedrunning of it. Aside from that mission with the 2 safes, I haven't found anything that seems crazy to accomplish. With that mission in particular, I just grabbed the main safe with the crane and got out there. I'm sad that I didn't know how to get money until a bit into the game because I like scanning for loot and then executing the mission.
he really did put a lot of budget into viral marketing judging by all the jewtubers that had review copies
you dont need that powerful a card really. i can play it on high with a radeon r9 280.
only framerate issue i've had is one mission where thers lightning storms
Do you think the gameplay is deep enough to keep people interested in the game or will it always be a gimmick game with maybe some cool mods?
>"sandbox" game
>no actual content
make your own fun :^)
I think it is more likely that youtubers are desperate for a new "minecraft", a game that draws so much attention that the first people creating videos about it automatically become famous thanks to Youtube's algorithms.
There is a guy who made an uncompromised video on Youtube when Minecraft raytracing + VR was new and today he has 100k subscribers and he has no talent at all.
I think once more levels get added and you don't go through a lot of the same enviroments to play the game, then yea. I think the gameplay will be deep enough for people to want to play until completion. Outside of that, the game has sandbox exploration through these areas, but I don't think it'll interest a lot of people. With mods and more areas, I think it'll be a great game once it's out of EA in a year. As it stands now, I bought it day one and I have really enjoyed my time so far, but that's because I love destruction and physics, so take my words with a grain of salt.
I think this game actually has potential if people bother to make custom maps. It's really fun planning out routes to get every single objective before the timer runs out. Webm related is that one campaign mission with the 6 cars that you have to dump into water. Two of them you can move and the other 4 all trigger the alarm. I tried to use the yellow car to go faster but it hit the curb and drove into the ground so i ditched it kek
I can see some map creators getting crazy and designing really cool stuff you have to optimize like crazy to finish. Kind of like some Mario Maker type shit I guess.
It's way more cpu intensive than it is gpu
If you drive a boat into a wall the boat will come apart piece by piece but your framerate will turn into a power point presentation
The only videos I've seen were by 2kliksphilip, and he was already making videos about destruction in video games and raytracing, so this game was right up his alley. I think he might be one of the main reasons the game got so much attention, since he made one of the first big videos about it.
That one is a motherfucker, good on ya user
I can confirm that you are wrong and also homosexual
this webm is a good example of some of the shit you can do as a reference for people who haven't played the game. i had to grab all the tools but picking one up triggered the alarm. some were "moveable" some weren't. if you move the alarm or damage the wall it's attached to it triggers and starts the countdown, but for example like in the webm you can see where I moved the entire blue container the alarm was in to using that crane and dumped it on the road along my escape route so i didn't have to go out of my way to get it. same with the raft, I used planks to attach it to a boat and pulled it. all the holes in the walls were made by me, the planks you see me walk on I placed, all the cars were placed by me etc. basically everything is up to you
i just want people to make custom maps, i can only imagine the potential.
yeah it's the one I struggled with most. I'm sure there's a way easier way to do it than how I did it and even my route couldn't been quicker, i was kinda slow
not me, actually
could've*
lol i didnt realise you could put them in the ponds and swimming pools. god i feel retarded
so, uh, minecraft with timers?
>hitman
where are npcs?
The whole mission got immeasurably easier when I realized that dunking a car doesn't set off the alarm
How'd you get the car without wheels?
i drove it
>a meme game so devoid of features that it won't even start a trend like Fall Guys or Among Us
Plank it to the one on the back of the truck, then drive both into water. Then you only have the 4 alarm cars to worry about.
Is starting a trend relevant to a game today?
>"sandbox"
But it has missions.
