explain to me why did you all pretended that game was difficult?

Can't we agree just ignore low tier baits?

Bad bait. Try a little harder. The guy that called everyone pajeets was better.

I didn't start parrying until 10 hours in. I just saw how spacing and blocking was safer in general. I started to parry because the giant armour faggot doesn't let you beat him any other way.

You faggots told me leveling up didn't matter but I was totally unable to beat Lady Butterfly until two levels in

>woooow this game is so simple, all you need to do is move, block, parry, attack, jump, double jump, mikiri in the right situations with the right timing, it's a rhythm game xD

heh.. nothing personnel, kid.

Well, leveling up gives you more leeway for error, but it's no substitute for getting gud. Which is also something that probably happened, you improved your gameplay over a few hours.
I remember being hopelessly stuck on her too when I went to fight her ASAP.

WOOOOOOW

>realize i now have to do both NG+ shura ending and NG+2 purification to unlock shura gauntlet

i dont like that parry + regular attack is basically the only efficient way to fight bosses, and most enemies in general. the prosthetics, with few specific exceptions like firecrackers and shuriken, and arts are mostly either useless, fair poorly against bosses, or end up being less efficient than just chaining a regular attack because it comes out quicker

Purification doesn't have different bosses, does it?
Also NG+ is a breeze, you can run through every area in 30 seconds and beat up the bosses

you technically don't NEED to do purification ending for the shura gauntlet, you just need to fight owl at the revamped hirata estate, which is needed for the purification ending iirc

Oh right
I looked it up in my first playthrough because I didn't wanna miss bosses, so I wiped that from my mind

Same mate, drugs didn't help either.

I think it's great. The game never pretended to have Souls-like weapon variety. You can still dodge instead of parry if you wanna do health damage
Plus, it's hilarious to parry a bull that's 5 times as big as normal

You what!? Jesus fucking christ, I quit at this point.

>tfw been filtered by this game
it wasn't fun anymore anons.

I have no idea what you're talking about
How far did you get?

Try playing less games with turn-based combat.

I thought you can't parry the bull and have to dodge, I didn't even try it. I rarely parried in DS and don't use guides.

in fact, i want to add that I've been filtered so hard by Sekiro and just played JRPGs instead. Got Nioh 2 and all of it's DLC, never played it.
I don't remember but I think I was pass the bull (which was the fucking easiest for me to beat btw, only two tries). Then I think I got on the dream of sort? Like the burning buildings and shit, and there was that one guard with a spear I think.
A mini-boss filted me fuck

>muh rythm game
And this is bad somehow?

Yeah the spear guy filters many people. I urge you to give it another go, getting through the main content until you meet Genichiro again. That's the part where the game clicks for most people and if you still hate it by then, it's only a couple of hours lost
>don't use guides
Me neither. My thinking was "okay fuck it you can parry everything up to this point so let's just try"
Hell, you can parry an entire fucking horse jumping on you during the Gyoubou fight

Here's an actual valid complaint. Why is there no way to break your own posture? The mini bosses are able to reset their posture. Its just stupid because against bosses like inner genichiro I just end up going for tactical posture breaks on the last hits of combos. There should be a reset mechanic that takes about as long as using a sugar.

Fuck Dragonrot, who the fuck thought that was a good idea

Damn you smart man, time to continue my playthrough.

It greatly reduces the replayability, and it just makes it boring

Yeah user, I'll give it a shot another time, just not now (I've been filtered in March and I'm still salty)

Holding block increases your posture recovery speed.

im live this game is way better youtube.com/watch?v=nintI92_MiE

>It greatly reduces the replayability
Yes. No one said you have to play this game 10 times.
I know I sound like a retard, but fuck it. No one's forcing you to play this. If the game isn't worth the price to you because it lacks replayability, then buy it on a sale or pirate it. Even one playthrough is still well worth your time

kys

Just parry everything. I had exactly one boss where I felt like dodging around it Bloodborne style was more efficient

Simple mechanics force you to use random tactics against skilled players. Don't be retarded.

So, about the Dragonrot...it seems the NPCs are fucked no matter what, even if you use the dragon drop you will still have to die a lot. And that item seems scarce

Takes too long though without insane attack power. You're better off letting enemies break your posture when you know there's a window after the attack.

don't die then

You motherfucker you are supposed to die in this game

If you die during normal gameplay (i.e. not a boss), just teleport back to the idol. Your homeward bone item is free
Dragonrot only happens if you truly die, resurrecting doesn't cause it
Also, the droplet heals all NPCs and there's like 15 of them in one playthrough
It was much, much worse on release

no you're supposed to git gud in this game

It's not even that. It's even easier than souls shit because there's no stamina. You literally spam LB when they attack then r1 once or twice, occasionally there's a QTE thrown in.
