PS5 will support hardware accelerated raytracing

>PS5 will support hardware accelerated raytracing
>Xbox Series X will support hardware accelerated raytracing
>both AMD and Nvidia graphics card will support hardware accelerated raytracing
>raytracing has been heavily touted in exclusive titles by both Sony and Microsoft
>NO YOU RETARDS RAYTRACING IS A MEME THAT WILL DISAPPEAR IN A FEW MONTHS THE MOMENT THE INDUSTRY STOPS SUPPORTING IT AND YOU'RE ALL DUMB SHILLS FOR EATING IT UP AND CONSOOMING
Why is Zig Forums like this?

Ray tracing is a huge fucking meme, people freak out when a game doesn't have it when it's just supposed to be gravy and nothing else.

Because that's what Zig Forums says about everything. See VR, 3D, etc.

because most of Zig Forums is tech illiterate grognards who still use win 7 and haven't played a single game that came out in the last 10 years

>everything will support it
yes
>ray tracing is a meme which makes things cost more for negligible benefits and worsened performance
also yes

>HOLY SHIT
>IS THAT A WORKING MIRROR
>I WILL NOW BUY YOUR GAME

Ray tracing is a huge meme. The PS5 ray tracing has been extremely low resolution and needs to be turned off for 60 fps.

Zig Forums doesn't even play games, retard

>Gran Turismo virgins seriously thinking anyone gives a fuck about the series now that it has shinier cars when it's been BTFO by Forza for years straight

dude Forza has been reduced to an arcade grind game whereas GT is better than ever with Sport. All PD needed to do was add previous GT content to Sport, which 7 is doing.

>dude mirrors lmao
>dude puddles lmao
so this is the power of next gen

reflections aren't the only thing ray tracing does better

Right now it's meme, but just wait 3 years for pro versions of consoles and every RT game should be running 60fps, while PC 4k 144fps.

>while PC 4k 144fps.
You can't even hit 60 FPS on a fucking 3090 right now running Watch Dogs Legion at max settings lmao. Keep dreaming.

Thats just Ubishart.

Nice 2009 game

>>PS5 will support hardware accelerated raytracing
All true except this.
>Why is Zig Forums like this?
They are POORFAGS.

Ray tracing is the new 3D

>GT is better than ever with Sport.
>Forza has been reduced to an arcade grind game
Lol.

It runs on RDNA2.
If Sony adopts an API that does not support hardware acceleration for raytracing they will simply write it themselves because it would be stupid not to.

>It runs on RDNA2.
Lol.

yeah revolutionary
just like tessellation was
and HDR
and VR
and your retard head

>tessellation
Is commonly used nowadays.
>HDR
is becoming a standard feature
>VR
Now this is a meme

only VR is a meme out of those
next you're going to say that PhysX was a meme but it's actually used by 99% of UE4 games since Nvidia open sourced it

Memetracing is the new Hairworks

>R-RAYTRACING ISN'T JUST A MEME!
>Posts a picture that looks like some low-end screenspace reflection trickery
Raytracing won't go away, but it's not nearly as graphically impressive as most faggots like you are trying to make it out to be. Not even Microsoft or Sony seems to think that either, since their initial marketing was completely focused on the ''power'' of their PCIe SSDs. Bestcase scenario, raytracing will speed up development somewhat.

>PS5
>raytracing

l m a o

There are still people on Zig Forums who genuinely believe that bloom was a meme and are glad that devs don't use it anymore.

You were saying?

>just trust us bro we totally have it without the appropriate technology

>HDR
It actually does make all of your games look better accross the board though and to a very noticeable degree if you have a monitor that supports it.
>tessellation
It has pretty much replaced normal mapping in most AAA games today, all while looking noticably better.

>>tessellation

You have no idea what you are talking about.

>every game for at least a year is going be shiny floor interiors, wet puddles outside, buildings made of nothing but glass, and mirrors in every room

>rtx is a me-
