Retard. He always said that he loves movies and always took inspiration from them.
MGS is also heavily inspired by Escape from New York in which he also stated that.
>Always take Metal Gear Solid 1 as some novel masterpiece with an intricate story
imagine actually listening to the fucking MGS cult lmao
it's been amazing watching their cope grow over the years as more games come out and it becomes more obvious that he is a total hack
Wasn't there one game, maybe MGS2, that was suspected of being plagiarism of one specific movie so the studio who owns the movie's rights wanted to sue but the writer or director loved the game so much he told the studio to fuck off? I vaguely remember something like that.
Harry Gregson-Williams scored that film too you should instatnly recognize him
>bandanas are japanese tropes
Does this look like Solid Snake to you?
Only the metal gear theme was accused of plagiarism of a Russian music.
They made an interview with Kojima and made him listen to it and he was surprised. The theme was never used again after MGS3
The downgrade from Sniper Wolf to Quiet is testament to the degeneration of the series.
As Kojima's ego goes up, writing quality goes down. King Midas in person, everything that comes out of his pen must be genius gold.
Downgrade?
The older MGS games only had a semblance of challenge because the gameplay was never designed with combat in mind and had an atrocious camera system.
I'm talking about design you fucking mouse
And it's design relies entirely on the mechanics used in boss fights being all underdeveloped, like shooting, or having a top down camera system for some reason.
It's easy to make challenging and "complex" boss fights when the mechanics themselves are a problem to deal with.
>The theme was never used again after MGS3
It was used in Portable Ops, sort of, only in Japan and only in first print copies.
youtu.be
In all other releases, including the OST, they just removed that ~30 second section of the track entirely and made it awkwardly cut to the last section.
MGS was at its best when it was telling a simple story. After 1 there's been a steady increase of convoluted trash shoved in.

Most jap developers are hacks since their only interest is to sell the game, the only ones with any real passion for their projects were Team Silent
I don't understand, couldn't they just pay whoever or something so they could keep using the melody?
>Kojima
>only wanted money
>not being too passion he applied never-seen-before ideas like Mantis Boss fight, the code being hidden in the boxart, the incredible details in MGS2, 3 and 4, making MGS2 which to this day is being discussed and analyzed because of how creative and deep the game, etc...
You stupid zoomers will never be real gamers
Everything he did he copied from something else, but uneducated gaming people told him he was a genius and he believed it
>Hiding the code in the packaging
plenty of games were doing this to stop piracy you numbuts, MGS was even easier to bypass by making the frequency 15 numbers into the 200 possible frequences.
Keep deluding yourself that, zoom zoom
Kojimbo is too proud of a retard
When is the next strand type game coming? Who's gonna be brave enough to make one?
Wasn't the original Metal Gear considered a risk because "why would people want to sneak around and avoid combat instead of fight" or something?
>what happens when Kojima surrounds himself with yes men and designs a game
they didn't even get a legal notice of any sort it's just kojima being kojima he's too proud like the other user said
>plenty of games
name 20
Wasn't the original song some Russian literally-who orchestra song from like 1908?
Would anyone even try to sue for that?
It's very flawed but I enjoyed it a lot more than most garbage releasing these days.
The Russian music was by Georgy Sviridov who is dead and it was obscure.
that's why Konami was never sued and Kojima never knew about it
the composer plagiarized it, it's not even the fault of the director (Kojima)
he probably didn't want to keep using it out of respect of the dead Russian artist
>le creative dad
leave it to frenchies to make a language sound so retarded
That's Spanish and it means "The Creativity" you idiot
No, Kojima copied Escape from New York user.
no it just means open world meme is shit in general and only worked on PS2 era because games weren't big back then
that being said, Quiet fight wasn't bad, it only needed a music but good thing I played the PC version and putted the Boss music from MGS1
made the fight 10x more intense and better
